Plymouth Argentina continued their unbeaten run under manager Neil DeSnap as they fought back to draw 2-2 with Cardiff City. After a close defeat against Birmingham City in their previous fixture, Plymouth once again showed resilience to secure a point. Morgan Vitak became the hero of the visitors, scoring two goals and almost claiming a last-minute victory. However, Plymouth also took matters into their own hands when a misplayed return pass was made.
The match marked the first league meeting between the two teams since 2009, with Plymouth drawing 1-0 with Cardiff. Plymouth took the lead after just 17 minutes when Virtak comfortably netted from Ben Wayne's low cross. However, their lead didn't last long, with a defensive error leading to Cardiff's equaliser. Matt Beecher's return pass evaded goalkeeper Conor Hazzard and rolled across the goal line.
Early in the second half, Karan Grant fired a powerful shot into the top right corner of the net to give Cardiff back the lead. However, Plymouth refused to back down and Virtek equalised again in the 66th minute. Both teams were looking for a win and the game was very tight and in the end they had to accept a draw. The result left both managers Errol Brut of Cardiff and Steven Schumacher of Plymouth still unpublished their post-match reactions. Plymouth will be happy to extend their unbeaten run under De Snap, while Cardiff will be disappointed not to get three points at home.
