Yanzi's (pseudonym) family lives in the mountains, and it takes a lot of trouble to get here. Knowing that the volunteers were coming, Swallow's grandmother had already lit a fire at home and cooked a large pot of sweet potatoes. Grandma said, "I've been waiting for you for a long time." He kept bringing walnuts, oranges, and turnips out of the house, telling us to "eat quickly."
The three sisters and brothers live with their grandparents. When the sun was setting, my grandmother was at home with my two younger brothers, and my grandfather was riding a motorcycle to pick up the swallows from school. Seeing the familiar volunteer brothers and sisters coming again, Yanzi was very happy. When I opened the warm bag, I saw the drawing book and brushes inside, and immediately wanted to take it to paint.

In a Miao village in the northwest of Congjiang County, most of the local villagers are surnamed "roll". In the middle of this year, the staff of the One ** Warm Pack project came here again with local partners to visit a little girl, Lele (pseudonym).
Lele is in the fourth grade, the eldest child in the family, and the family has not bought toys for her and her younger siblings. Their only toys came from "a large box brought to us by Aunt Jiayi and a group of uncles and aunts in the first grade, which contained dolls, school bags, clothes, and scarves. ”
Lele didn't know that her favorite doll was called Doudou, so she named it "Little Flower" and thought it was her baby.
My sister is Xiaohua's grandmother, and my younger brother is Xiaohua's grandfather. We often cook a big meal for Xiaohua at home - braised beef, which is a delicacy made from leaves and tiles. Every morning I would cover her with a small quilt before going to school, and at night I would put her to sleep and the baby would go to bed quickly. On weekends, I like to carry Xiaohua to the market, buy her delicious food, and I also like to make small clothes for Xiaohua. My good friends from the same village also received dolls, they are all Xiaohua's aunts, aunts and aunts, and we often take our babies to relatives. My wish is to find a little sister for my baby. ”
Xu Jiayi, from the Guizhou Plus One Volunteer Service Federation, who often works in various villages, said that the economic conditions here are not very good, and most girls get married early. There are no more entertainment and toys in their childhood and adolescence, and Doudou has become a close partner to accompany them in their growth.

During the mid-year return visit, in another village, the staff met the 16-year-old eldest child Xiao Yuan (pseudonym), who was doing his homework when his grandparents called him, and saw us enter the house and hurriedly moved a stool.
Xiao Yuan's parents, like the adults in the village, went out to grow watermelons, but he didn't know exactly where to grow them. Among his peers, some children dropped out of junior high school to work part-time to grow watermelons with adults, and some students who failed the college entrance examination and even went to ordinary universities also made the same choice. Growing watermelons should be the most lucrative job for locals right now, but Mr. Yuan said his parents wanted him to study more.
Xiao Yuan's grades in Xi were very good, he was admitted to high school with high scores, and his grades were also ranked first in the high school class, and he was very shy and low-key when he was praised. He said that he didn't want to grow watermelons in the future, and he didn't want to take the public exam like many people, but wanted to study architecture, and for this long-germinating ideal, he had begun to use some software on his mobile phone to learn Xi and make related architectural designs.
Speaking of the warm bag he received when he was a child, Xiao Yuan was most impressed by the cotton clothes, because "there were not so many clothes to wear when he was a child", in the hearts of children, there was no anxiety and inferiority complex for being "special care", and he happily showed off to other children after receiving the warm bag. In addition to the warm bag, from childhood to adulthood, the longest companion for him was a copy of "The Little Prince" given by his uncle. He said that when he has the ability to help others in the future, he wants to give some clothes and books to those in need.
Xiao Yuan said that the warm bag once helped him tide over the difficulties, and he did not say what kind of difficulties it was. Maybe the road will not be smooth sailing in the future, I hope that Xiao Yuan will always have warm companionship on the road of growth, and I hope that he can realize his ideals and become an architect.
Every child has the right to open gifts
In the winter of 2011, the project was launched, and it has been distributed to children in distress for the thirteenth consecutive year. Yan Peiwen of Guiyang Zhongyi Volunteer Service Development Center, a partner of the first grade, said: More than 10 years ago, I participated in the warm package project to respond to the problem of poverty (the need for children to stay warm in winter). Now people's basic livelihood is guaranteed, but the help of the children is still important for the warm pack. Not only material help, but also children's sense of "gifts" in childhood is very important to them, and every child should have the right to open gifts, and to keep a warmth in childhood is the meaning of what we do.
This warmth is also a seed. As Xu Jiayi of Plus One Public Welfare said: The warm bag knocks on the door of children's hearts and plants the seeds of public welfare in their hearts.
More than 10 years have passed, and the children who received the warm packs have grown up one after another. More and more children are reconnecting with One ** and project partners through different channels, and they hope that they who have grown up and have the ability to continue to help more people in need and send a warm childhood to more children.
A kindness is endless
The Warmth Pack Program is a public welfare program set up for the living and psychological care needs of children in underdeveloped areas and disaster-affected areas. Many social organizations, volunteers, enterprises and the public participated in the fundraising of the first warm package, the beautiful scenery that only exists in winter, the packaging, transfer and distribution, and the visit link, so as to care for the physical and mental health of children in difficulty.
Since the launch of the project in 2011, by the winter of 2022, the "One Warm Bag Project" has benefited more than 950,000 children in 1,447 counties (cities, districts and banners) in 27 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government), driving more than 2,000 caring teams and 240,000 volunteers to act together in the process.
In the winter of 2023, with your support, the first warm package will be delivered to more than 80,000 children in need across the country.
