Postdoctoral position
We have multiple postdoctoral vacancies, mainly focused on the following:
Carbon analysis and dynamic modelling of forests and wood fuels, chemicals and products. Candidates with relevant experience and publications are strongly encouraged to apply.
Systematic analysis of biomass-derived materials and chemicals. Candidates with a process simulation related publication using Aspen Plus, LCA, TEA, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Environmental impact assessment of nature-based carbon removal solutions.
Impact assessment of land use change and biomass use. Candidates with strong modeling skills in GIS and ecosystem land-use modelling are strongly encouraged to apply.

Ph.D. and Master's students
There are multiple vacancies in our group. We are looking for motivated graduate students interested in pursuing research related to bioeconomy and sustainable production. Most of the students in the lab have experience with a combination of LCA, TEA, engineering process simulation, mathematical programming, or systems analysis. I would be happy to advise or co-advise students interested in applied and/or interdisciplinary research.
If you have a background in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or mechanical engineering, as well as research experience related to biomass conversion, carbon capture, and renewable energy publications, it is highly recommended that you apply.
