Li Wenying believes that in the past, residents' requirements for parks and green spaces were relatively simple, and they only needed to have a place to walk, but now with the improvement of people's material life and water products, people's requirements for park functions are getting higher and higher. As a long-established park in Nanning, People's Park is actively innovating, expanding various functions, striving to build an all-age friendly park suitable for the elderly and children, and integrating the concept of a park city.
On the opening day of the Water Lily Exhibition, Li Wenying repeatedly confirmed the process of the event and told the two "Water Lily Fairies" who were about to board the flower boat to perform should pay attention to safety. After finishing the installation of the third season of the Water Lily Exhibition, Yang Qian and designer Huang Shuotian continued to collect and organize holiday check-in attractions for citizens and friends to further enrich everyone's holiday life. Huang Shuotian recommended to Yang Qian the Laoyou Cultural Park, which is a pocket park, but it brings an interesting, energetic and immersive experience with regional cultural characteristics to nearby residents with a novel and fashionable design style.
Huang Shuotian said: "The biggest feature of Laoyou Cultural Park is that it chooses to use the local language of Nanning as the design element, and expresses it in the form of "barrage", and its color, size, layout and content are carefully selected by the designers. In addition, the park has also designed fun interactive installations, where citizens can flip the tiles and piece together unique scenes based on their personal understanding of the culture of old friends.
The pocket park is the development direction of the park city in the future, and it is a natural activity space. After the construction of the park is completed, the designer will regularly pay a return visit to the surrounding citizens. Huang Shuotian is well aware that the surrounding citizens want the functions of the pocket park to be more abundant, and these demands are translated into the design language from the quality, adaptability, safety and aesthetics, which puts forward higher requirements for him.
Park cities focus on the construction of ecological livability, of which water environment management is an important sector. On the last day of September, Yang Qian invited the chief designers of the Nakao River and Shajiang River Wetland Parks to tell the public the secrets behind the ecological and livable city.
Yang Qian and Wu Wan, the chief designer of the Nakao River, took the citizens to the canna flower field to observe the undercurrent wetland. Wu Wan said that as the starting point of Guangxi's water ecological management technology, the Nakao River has a lot of innovative setting characteristics, such as the blooming canna flower field, which is not only designed for the citizens to check in and look good, but also has the water purification effect of removing phosphorus and nitrogen.
As the second river in Nanning to implement comprehensive urban water environment basin management, Mo Changbin, the chief designer of Shajiang River Wetland Park, cleverly embedded the reclaimed water plant on the bank, so that the sewage treatment plant disappeared in the park, creating a model of urban infrastructure integration. In terms of the use of plants, she applied the common native plants in Guangxi to the park, and made the citizens feel familiar and friendly through landscape collocation.
