Construction process of cement based permeable crystalline waterproof coating

Mondo Home Updated on 2024-02-18

Cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof coating is a kind of waterproof material based on cement, adding active chemicals and appropriate additives, and mixing with scientific proportions. Its main mechanism of action is through the active chemicals inside it penetrate deep into the pores and cracks of the cement-based surface, and after curing, form a crystal with good waterproof properties, thereby preventing the passage of moisture.

The construction process of cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof coating is as follows:

1.Base Treatment:

Ensure that the base surface to be constructed is smooth, clean, free of oil stains, no floating dust, no release agent and no puff layer.

For defects such as cracks and holes on the base surface, they should be repaired first.

2.Moist the base:

The base surface should be properly moistened before construction to avoid the dilution of the product or the floating of the sediment due to too fast moisture.

The degree of wetness is subject to the absence of clear water.

3.Stirring the paint:

Open the paint packaging barrel and stir the liquid in the barrel well.

Mix component A (powder) and component B (liquid) in the ratio required by the product manual, and stir thoroughly with a stir bar until it is uniform and consistent.

4.Coating application:

Use a roller, brush or spray gun to evenly apply the mixed paint to the substrate.

When applying, it should be ensured that the coating covers all areas that need to be waterproofed, and that the coating is uniform and not missing.

The second coating should be carried out after the previous coating has been dry.

5.Attention to detail:

For details such as yin and yang corners and pipe roots, special treatment should be done, and a brush or fingers can be used to coat to ensure that nothing is missed.

For exposed steel bars, embedded parts, etc., paint should be applied to make them completely covered.

6.Conservation:

After the application is completed, measures should be taken to prevent the coating from being impacted, scratched and contaminated.

The coating takes a certain amount of time during the curing process, and it should be ensured that the coating is fully dried and cured, which usually takes more than 24 hours.

7.Check and patch:

After the coating has cured, the coating should be inspected and any defects should be repaired.

The same waterproofing coating can be used for repairs, or it can be done according to the recommendations of the product supplier.

8.Follow-up construction:

After the cement-based permeable crystalline waterproof coating is completely cured and accepted, follow-up construction can be carried out, such as laying ceramic tiles, painting surface coatings, etc.

During the construction process, the guidelines and construction requirements in the product manual should be strictly adhered to to ensure the waterproof effect. At the same time, the construction personnel should have the corresponding skills and experience to ensure the quality of construction.
