During this year's Spring Festival, the inspection team of the Jiujiang Bridge Section of China Railway Nanchang Bureau Group Company was responsible for the daily maintenance and overhaul of the bridge, and the "robot" team escorted the Spring Festival Road with the power of science and technology.
The two main towers of the bridge stand majestically in the middle of the Yangtze River, with a vertical height of 252 meters, equivalent to the height of 80 floors, as if plunging headlong into the "clouds". The bridge adopts a steel box girder structure, with a total length of 1,320 meters and a main span of 672 meters, which is the world's largest span, the most lines and the largest load of the railway box girder cable-stayed bridge, and it is also the first cable-stayed bridge in China to adopt the design of cross cables.
The bridge health monitoring equipment is installed at the top of the tower, which integrates structural monitoring, status assessment, safety early warning, and maintenance management, which can monitor and feedback the health status of the bridge in real time 24 hours a day, making the bridge maintenance and repair more accurate and efficient. The system realizes the digitization, automation, visualization and intelligence of health monitoring through the sensing equipment installed at the bridge site, combined with the on-site monitoring data acquisition and transmission technology of the structure, as well as the data cleaning, response separation, and multi-level early warning technology in the background, and the first-class identification technology. Due to the regular maintenance of monitoring equipment, the staff of the bream island inspection team are set up in the "cloud". In order to achieve all-round safety monitoring of the bridge, an underwater "robot" will be introduced in the work area during the Spring Festival transportation in 2024, which can monitor the apparent defects of the underwater pile foundation, the surrounding erosion and hollowing out and the riverbed section, so as to further improve the efficiency of the bridge maintenance. At present, the team has put into use a number of "black technologies" such as unmanned boats, underwater robots, and rope-climbing robots to inspect areas that are difficult for personnel to reach in ordinary times.
