Because the rhythm of life is different between weekdays and weekends, there are peak and flat periods on weekdays. During the morning and evening rush hours, there are many people and cars, so the driving interval is shorter; Usually, there are no more people, no less, and there are no more cars, so the driving interval is longer.
Running the intersection
Do you know how trains run on tracks? This is the train interchange. To put it simply, it is the way in which the train runs back and forth on a fixed line, determining where the train is going to run, making a U-turn and so on.
In urban rail transit, there are single intersections, large and small intersections, lap intersections, and Y-shaped intersections. The Chongqing Rail Group mainly uses a single intersection and a large and small intersection.
Single intersection: suitable for lines with uniform passenger flow distribution, simply put, it is to sit all the way to the end, and passengers do not need to get off at the terminal of the small intersection and then transfer to the large intersection train.
Large and small intersections: In the uneven distribution of passenger flow, just like a big stomach and a small bird's stomach eating at the same table, it is inevitable that there will be waste or not enough food. Large and small intersections can solve this problem, places with large passenger flows can "eat" more, and places with small passenger flows will not be "hungry".
Express and express trains
There are also two special trains in Chongqing rail transit, which are direct express trains and express trains. Among them, the "4-ring-5" three-line interconnection express train can shuttle freely on different lines, easily change the line through the contact line, and realize cross-line operation, and the cross-line operation of the train will not stop at each station, which can also save a lot of time for passengers on the road; Line 10 ordinary trains and express trains are speeding on the same track, and the express trains can easily overtake ordinary cars by crossing the line, allowing passengers to "leave late and arrive early" and reduce the time on the road.
The direct express train and the express train adopt the "insertion method" operation, that is, an express train is inserted between two ordinary trains. This method not only does not disrupt the rhythm of ordinary trains, but also increases the capacity of express trains and allows passengers to arrive quickly. In order to ensure the direct connection between the express train and the express train, and at the same time not affect the safety of ordinary cars, the direct express train and the express train will "overtake" at a specific crossing station.
So, how to choose the stop of the direct express train and the express train? This takes into account not only the wiring conditions of the station, the type of station, but also the passenger flow. Therefore, the stations with large passenger flow demand, transportation hub stations and some transfer stations are mainly selected as stops to improve the speed of express trains and improve transportation efficiency.
Hours of operation
The operating time of most of the lines of Chongqing rail transit is from 6:30 to 23:00, but in fact, because the line is long and there are many trains, many trains go out early (especially the ring line, the earliest is 4:40 in the morning) to start work, and when all the work is over, it is nearly 00:40 the next day. In order to ensure the safety of operation, there will be staff to overhaul and maintain lines, trains, catenaries and turnouts at night, and will also give trains a "physical examination".
At this stage, due to the tight construction time at night and the heavy commissioning task, if the operation time is further extended on a regular basis, it will be too late for the train to go home, and the maintenance time will be compressed.
