Wen Tiejun was born in a scholarly family in Beijing, but during the *** period, the trajectory of his life changed dramatically. Originally living in a city compound, he was sent to the countryside and began to live a life closely connected to the land and peasant life.

In the countryside, Wen Tiejun not only learned farm work, but also became the executive captain of the military propaganda team because of his intelligence and adaptability. However, due to the gap between theory and reality, he eventually left the Educated Youth Team. This experience gave him more opportunities to reach out to the people at the bottom and understand their real needs and the injustices they encountered. These experiences have profoundly influenced him and inspired him to make a difference for farmers.

After serving in the army, Wen Tiejun changed jobs to become a truck driver, but he never gave up his studies. After the national college entrance examination was resumed, he immediately applied for the exam and achieved excellent results. His experience as a worker, peasant and soldier and his concern for the three rural issues led him to devote himself to the research of the rural economy in China after graduating from the Department of Journalism of the Chinese People's University. His research footprints have covered many provinces, cities and counties, and he has accumulated a lot of first-hand information.

In order to have a more comprehensive understanding of the social costs and the costs of transformation, Wen Tiejun also went abroad and visited Eastern Europe and other countries. After returning to China, he actively promoted rural construction, founded the Rural Construction Institute and Community Support Agricultural Farm, and devoted himself to rural development.

Wen Tiejun believes that farmers can achieve a happy life in the countryside at a lower cost. He proposed that farmers could use 300,000 yuan to build a three-story building, with 890,000 yuan to buy a car, such a cost of living is not heavy for farmers. However, the reality is that farmers are forced to leave the land and move into urban life, facing high living costs and adaptation difficulties. He criticized those who neglected the well-being of farmers for the sake of profit, arguing that their actions deprived them of their sense of happiness and belonging.

Wen Tiejun's views and actions reflect his firm defense of farmers' rights and interests and his deep insight into rural development. He is not only the spokesperson of the peasants, but also an active advocate of promoting the society's attention to the problems of the peasants and improving the living conditions of the peasants. He stressed that farmers, as an important part of society, contribute greatly to our lives, and they deserve to be respected and cared for. In the pursuit of modernization, we should not ignore the needs and feelings of farmers, but ensure that they do not lose their original happiness and tranquility in the process of social transformation.
