As one of the technologies of building digitalization, BIM technology has gradually developed into the core element of enterprise digital platform construction. In 2006, some construction enterprises in China began to pay attention to the concept of BIM; In 2009, design BIM software was implemented in China, and some landmark projects tried to apply BIM basically; In 2013, the application of BIM gradually transitioned from the design stage to the construction stage; In 2015, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Application of Building Information Modeling", which clearly put forward the development goals of BIM in the construction industry and the important work of all participants. In 2017, policies began to be issued across the country, such as Henan, Fujian, Hunan and other places, which pointed out that they should encourage and support the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in the planning, survey, design, construction and operation management of green buildings.
The application of BIM technology has sprung up in the application of various construction projects, and correspondingly, the talents corresponding to BIM technology have also attracted much attention. To this end, the state has introduced a series of policies to promote the cultivation of BIM talents, such as the relevant ministries and commissions in the "2016-2020 Construction Industry Informatization Development Outline" proposed: "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, to comprehensively improve the level of construction industry informatization, emphasizing the need to apply BIM, Internet of Things and other technologies to engineering quality and safety management, and vigorously introduce BIM and other information technology professionals.
In order to increase the promotion of BIM technology in the construction industry, cultivate high-level BIM technology application talents, and encourage BIM technology application teams to strive for excellence, the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China officially launched the 7th "Youlu Cup" National BIM Technology Competition in 2024.
The competition is sponsored by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and jointly organized by Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, Henan Jiaotong Vocational and Technical College, Zhengzhou High-tech Zone Management Committee, and Beijing Global Youlu Education Technology Co., Ltd.
The competition is divided into two groups: enterprise group and college group, the enterprise group is declared by the actual project of the enterprise, and the competition topic of the college group is ordered by the expert committee alone, only college students are allowed to sign up for the competition, and the participating projects can be jointly declared by multiple units. The enterprise is divided into two categories: industrial and civil buildings and public infrastructure, each of which is divided into three directions: design, construction and synthesis, and two special projects of prefabricated building and decoration are set up at the same time.
It is reported that the "Youlu Cup" National BIM Technology Competition has been successfully held for six consecutive sessions. Every year, the competition successfully attracts many state-owned enterprises, central enterprises and universities to participate in it, collecting thousands of works. It can be said that the holding of the "Youlu Cup" National BIM Technology Competition has made an important contribution to promoting school-enterprise cooperation in the field of construction and accelerating the application of BIM technology.
The registration period on the official website of the competition is from March 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024. Starting from July 1, successful applicants can mail their works to the secretariat of the organizing committee in the form of U disk storage, and the expert committee members of the competition will be based on the principles of openness, fairness and justice, and will evaluate each entry in groups according to the scoring rules.
