On August 5, 1978, it was drizzling in Beijing and there were few pedestrians on the streets. But a group of people gathered at the Beijing airport, and they waited with a heavy heart for the return of one person.

After about an hour of waiting, a plane taking off from Germany slowly landed at the airport. When the hatch opened, tears of grief flowed from the corners of many people's eyes.

Under the watchful eye of everyone, the coffin covered by the flag of the Chinese Communist Party was slowly carried out of the plane by soldiers. Lying down is the founding general of our country, the *** general who served as the minister of public security for ten years.

Walking off the plane behind his coffin was his wife, Hao Zhiping, who had accompanied him through 38 years of ups and downs. How did she and General *** meet? What are some of the unforgettable memories of their 38-year marriage?

1. Born in Linzhang, he was young and aspired to resist Japan and defend the country. Hao Zhiping was born in Linzhang County, Henan Province, which is now part of Hebei Province. When he was young, Hao Zhiping often saw soldiers with loaded guns on the street, and their fierce style made ordinary people avoid them, like a plague god.

Therefore, Hao Zhiping has had an inexplicable fear of being a soldier since he was a child. However, unexpectedly, she was afraid of the military and finally chose her lifelong career - joining the army.

In 1934, at the age of 12, she was admitted to Kaifeng Provincial Girls' High School with excellent results. At that time, Hao Zhiping firmly believed that only knowledge could change fate, so much so that when she recalled her student days in her later years, she always sighed: "I think the hope of my life is in school." ”

Hao Zhiping put in more effort than her peers in order to be able to go to school, but when the iron hooves of the Japanese invaders set foot on the land of the motherland, she did not hesitate to give up her studies and devote herself to the cause of resisting Japan and saving the country.

In November 1937, Yan Xishan accepted the proposition of the Communist Party of China and established the "Shanxi National Revolutionary University" to recruit students with the ambition to serve the country across the country.

After Hao Zhiping saw the enrollment brochure of the National Revolutionary University, he did not hesitate to register and take the entrance examination. After passing the exam, she and her classmates got on the train to Shanxi and began her journey to serve the country.

Hao Zhiping initially came to the "National Revolutionary University" with the dream of resisting Japan and saving the country, but as time passed, she found that the ideas instilled here were only "defending Shanxi" and "defending Yan Xishan", which made her feel puzzled and confused.

She realized that the school did not fit the revolutionary ideals in her heart. So, together with other aspiring young people, she secretly left the "National Revolutionary University" and embarked on the journey to Yan'an, the real revolutionary holy land in their hearts.

After a long journey, they finally arrived in Yan'an in early 1938.

In February, Hao Zhiping entered Shaanbei Public School to study. During a morning exercise, the instructor found that Hao Zhiping still had injuries on his feet. Seeing fifteen or sixteen-year-old Hao Zhiping limping to the end of the queue, the instructor was a little unbearable, so he persuaded her to "stop practicing."

However, Hao Zhiping resolutely rejected the teacher's kindness, she said: "I have come to fight against Japan, and I can't go out to exercise if my feet are frozen, what is this called anti-Japanese, I don't rest!" ”

As a result, Hao Zhiping endured the frostbite on his feet and insisted on going out to exercise and training with the large army. Her tenacity and perseverance are deeply moving.

In just two months, due to his outstanding performance, Hao Zhiping not only successfully joined the party, but was also approved to study at the "Anti-Japanese Military and Political University." However, only two months later, the organization demanded that the "Kang Da" cadets go to the front.

Although the school leaders advised the female students to stay behind, Hao Zhiping insisted on following the team to Taihang Mountain. She pleaded with the leadership and eventually succeeded in convincing them to join her on the march to the front.

2. First acquaintance *** In 1940, Hao Zhiping, who was only 18 years old, was promoted to cadre because of his outstanding performance. This year, the vice president of "Kang University" led the team to cross the blockade line, but because of the rising water of the Yellow River, he could not advance, so he had to temporarily rest in Yanchang County.

On this day, Hao Zhiping, who had just been promoted to deputy instructor of the girls' team, met *** on a small road. Although she doesn't know much about ***, she knows that this gay man is the vice principal of "Kang Da" and her own top boss.

So, she saluted *** and said, "Hello chief!" ”

** Stopped when he saw Hao Zhiping saluting him, smiled and asked about her identity and work. Hao Zhiping left in a hurry after answering, making *** feel that she was a little grumpy.

When they met for the first time, Hao Zhiping left a deep impression in his heart. While working in Taihang Mountain, one of Hao Zhiping's female classmates married Yang Qiqing, the head of the security department of the Field Political Department, and they often invited Hao Zhiping to their home to play.

And coincidentally, Yang Qiqing also has a good relationship with ***, and ** often comes to their house as a guest. After getting to know each other, the relationship between the two became intimate. Suddenly, one day, ** proposed to Hao Zhiping, but Hao Zhiping said that he would not be able to consider marriage until he graduated from the party school.

On April 3, 1941, the apricot blossoms on Taihang Mountain were brilliant, and the graduation ceremony of the first party school students was held as scheduled, and the wedding of *** and Hao Zhiping was also witnessed.

On January 18, 1942, the crystallization of their love was born, however, at this happy moment, the clouds of war quietly shrouded Taihang Mountain. In the early morning of the same day, before dawn, Hao Zhiping, who lived in Tongyu, hurriedly wrapped the newborn in a bamboo basket with cotton pads, preparing to evacuate with the large army.

Shortly after leaving, enemy shells rained down not far away, and the situation was urgent, and his life hung by a thread.

On the cold Taihang Mountain, a thin layer of frost covered Hao Zhiping's eyebrows and hair. Even adults feel cold, let alone the child who is only 11 days old.

Hao Zhiping was worried about the child's safety and wanted to take the child out of the bamboo basket to feed. However, her lesbian reminded her that it was too cold and that she would freeze to death if she took the child out.

Despite this, Hao Zhiping was still worried about whether the child would survive, so she urgently called her husband*** Soon after, ** took out a large oilcloth from her bag and covered it on the bamboo basket.

Without saying a word to his wife, he hurried to the front of the line and continued his mission.

After dawn, enemy planes began to bomb the Eighth Route Army on the ground, and a communicator carrying a bamboo basket quickly hid in a dirt hole. However, the bomb directly collapsed the earth hole, and both the correspondent and the child were buried under the mound.

The surrounding soldiers of the Eighth Route Army immediately rushed forward and pulled them out. Hao Zhiping wanted to take the child out to see the situation, but she didn't expect the child to be purple all over his body, and his urine and urine were all over his body.

She couldn't help but cry bitterly, thinking that the child had died. Just then, a local rural lady picked up the child. The old lady scrubbed the child's whole body with warm water, and then held it on the hot kang and stroked it gently.

After a period of touching, the child suddenly cried out with a "wow", and Hao Zhiping's hanging heart finally let go.

** and Hao Zhiping, a loving couple, threw themselves into the Liberation War after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, but they had just been reunited, and they had to go their separate ways again.

In 1949, he received a telegram from Beiping, inviting him to Beijing to discuss important matters. He rushed to Beiping day and night, and told him that the organization decided that you would be the minister of the Ministry of Public Security.

** took over this important task without hesitation, and Hao Zhiping also took root in Beiping with her husband. However, due to various reasons, they were separated for 7 years.

During this time, ** suffered and even lost his leg, and Hao Zhiping also suffered from breast cancer, and he was able to control his condition after surgery. Despite the difficulties, they still hold on to their love and look forward to spending the rest of their lives together again.

On the occasion of the reunion after many years of absence, when the two met excitedly, the medical staff even carried rescue equipment to prevent emotional excitement from causing emergencies. On that day, when *** proposed to take a walk in front of Tiananmen Square, the driver drove the car to Chang'an Avenue according to his wishes.

When the car slowly passed by Tiananmen Square, ** suddenly saluted the portrait of ***. Every time he recalled that scene, Hao Zhiping's tears couldn't help but flow.

She deeply understands her husband's loyalty to the party and the people, and also understands the deep loneliness in her husband's heart at that moment. It was at that moment that Hao Zhiping made up his mind that he must take good care of his husband.

But she didn't know that *** at this time was also thinking about how to take good care of her.

In 1978, cancer entangled Hao Zhiping again, and in order not to worry her husband, she chose to hide it. However, her condition was eventually known by ***.

Out of understanding of his wife's kind wishes, **chose to pretend to know nothing and silently supported her**. After Hao Zhiping's second operation was successful, he applied to travel to West Germany for leg problems, and his request was approved after consideration.

In West Germany, ** once persuaded his wife to go out for a walk, but Hao Zhiping said firmly: "I won't go, when you get better, let's go together." However, this wish became a lifelong regret for her, because she and her husband could no longer visit West Germany together.

On August 3, 1978, General ** successfully underwent femoral head replacement surgery at the Heidelberg Orthopaedic University Hospital in West Germany, and after the operation was completed, he expressed his gratitude to the medical staff in English.

However, on the night after the operation, General ** suddenly developed symptoms of heart failure, and the hospital urgently contacted Hao Zhiping, who was temporarily living nearby.

Unfortunately, when Hao Zhiping rushed to the hospital, General ** had already left us forever.

** General and General Hao Zhiping have eight children together, and they have made remarkable achievements in their respective fields. The eldest son, Luo Jian, is one of China's first graduates majoring in atomic energy, is an outstanding nuclear physicist, and served with the rank of major general before retiring.

The second son, Luo Yu, was awarded the rank of colonel in 1988, but he later chose to quit the army and now lives abroad. The third son, Luo Huan, is relatively low-key, and there is very little information about him on the Internet.

The fourth son, Luo Yuan, served as a soldier in Fujian, and later went to Shanghai to study business and commerce, and now serves as the chairman of a large Internet financial company in China. The eldest daughter, Luo Yutian, is now the colonel director of a research institute of the General Staff Department of our army.

The second daughter, Luo Yushu, graduated from the Kazakh military industry and has been committed to nuclear physics research in China. The youngest daughter, Luo Yuping, used to be a colonel in the People's Liberation Army, but later developed a strong interest in writing, writing articles in her spare time, and has now published many books.

The relationship between Hao Zhiping and *** is like an eternal star, and they have spent more than 30 years together. No matter when and where, they rely on each other, support each other, and do their best to protect and take care of each other, this deep love is extremely admirable.

At the same time, their love for the country and its people has also been passed on to their children. These children have lived up to the expectations of their parents, and all of them have become the elite of the country, leaving a strong mark for the Luo family in the long history of New China.
