After reading Walden, I was deeply inspired and understood an important truth. In daily life, we always add all kinds of tedious things to our lives, as if only when we have more, life is richer and more valuable. However, the author's life at Walden shows us another possibility, that is, by subtraction, to remove the parts of life that do not belong to the essence, so as to restore the purest state of life.
On the shores of Walden, the author lives alone, without the tediousness and constraints of modern civilization. He chose a simple life, with nature as his companion, enjoying tranquility and freedom. Such a life may seem simple, but it is full of truth and meaning. He eliminated the material burdens, got rid of the shackles of society, and truly felt the essence of life.
In the fast-paced modern society, we are often surrounded by all kinds of trivial and complicated things, and it is difficult to truly calm down and feel the beauty of life. We keep adding to life, but we forget that the essence of life is to do subtraction. Only when we bravely eliminate those contents that do not belong to the original life can we truly return to the essence of life and feel the pure beauty.
Through reading Walden, I deeply realized that the true meaning of life is not about how much material wealth we have, but about what we feel and experience in our hearts. Only when we learn to simplify our lives and get rid of the tedious and meaningless things can we truly feel the beauty and value of life. Therefore, we should bravely face all kinds of tediousness and constraints in life, bravely do subtraction, and restore the essence of life.
