I learned a lot about teaching methods, games, and activities from this TESOL course. They are very useful for my teaching. Now, I would like to share some interesting things that I have learned from this TESOL course.
First of all, I learned a lot about the design and implementation of games and activities. These games and activities are not only fun, but they also help students learn English in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. For example, I learned how to role-play students to practice speaking English in simulated real-life situations. I also learned how to design guessing games and word spelling competitions to help students memorize words and improve their spelling skills.
In addition, this TESOL course also gave me an in-depth understanding of students' motivation to learn and how to stimulate their interest in learning. I have learned that students' motivation to learn has a direct impact on their learning outcomes. A student who has clear learning goals and is interested in learning content tends to be more proactive in learning. Therefore, as teachers, we need to design interesting and challenging teaching activities, and give students enough support and encouragement to stimulate their interest and motivation in learning.
During the course, I also learned a lot about teacher guidance skills. How to guide students to solve problems, how to provide effective feedback, how to build a good teacher-student relationship with students, etc., are all the focus of my learning in this course. Through the study and practice of these skills, I gradually improved my teaching ability and better helped students grow.
Finally, I also learned an important concept from this TESOL course – "formation". This concept emphasizes the interactive relationship between teachers and students. Teachers need to constantly observe, evaluate, and adjust their own teaching methods and strategies to better meet the learning needs of their students. At the same time, students also need to constantly adjust their learning methods and strategies through feedback and interaction to improve their learning effectiveness. This concept made me deeply realize that teaching and learning is a process of continuous development and change, which requires us to constantly reflect and adjust. Official TESOL Application Centre
