Who determines the level of a counselor?

A few people asked me if I was a registered consultant in the system, and I said no. Many of my friends are, and I also have teachers who are supervisors in the registration system, but I don't have any plans to do so, at least not yet.

This is not to say that I have any opinion of the system as an organization, but that psychological counseling is a special kind of work, and all institutions and organizations cannot really "weigh" a counselor effectively. Since their weighing capacity is limited, why should I bother with that?

It is always your clients who can see the level and ability of the counselor, as well as the character, and those who are "secret". Just like the children who can really evaluate their parents are always the parents.

So, the role of the person giving the evaluation is problematic, because the most core thing, they can't see at all. Of course, there is no way to do it, as long as it is a grade, it can only use superficial standards, in fact, it is no different from exam-oriented education.

Psychological counselor, can you give a grade? Are assistant counselors less competent than counselors? Are counselors less competent than supervisors? This must not be judged. Supervising psychological counseling is not necessarily better than assistant counselors. It would be a hypocrisy for someone to think about how many years they have been working.

In my work experience, supervising is actually much easier than doing consulting. It's like writing, it's not easy to write, but it's much easier for you to evaluate other people's writings.

I've seen a lot of consultants in the registration system have problems, and some of them have seriously violated professional ethics and ethics, and they can't even be called counselors. Didn't they learn about professional ethics? They learned, they knew, they understood.

Knowing, and doing it is always a matter of the two sessions. Theory and practice are always two different things. What you say with your mouth can never be confused with your actions.

If you're a good student, you don't need to be stared at, if you're a good law-abiding citizen, you don't have to memorize moral and legal terms, and if you can do it, you don't need an institution to recognize you. There is a bright moon in the heart, why borrow a lamp from another country.

If you think it's an identity or a title, of course it's okay to have more, it's not a mistake, but if you think it's a talisman and you have to look at it with an upward stance, it's wrong, because it's not necessary. Everyone's talisman is their own, and everyone's decency is also given by themselves.

Some people also asked me why I didn't settle in Simple Psychology, at present, Simple Psychology is relatively formal, and I also have the founder of Simple Psychology in WeChat. I also like her more. However, no matter what the platform, it is not absolute, and there must be dirty people. If you use "whether you have settled in what platform" as a certain criterion for evaluating consultants, it is also a problem to look at the problem angle.

A few years ago, I thought about it and prepared the materials carefully, but then I chose to give up. Because I found that there were people who didn't meet my standards, were there too. I've seen them litter in private, and I've told them how they flattered and bullied. I don't like them. Although their resumes and backgrounds can also be glamorous.

After working in the industry for a long time, I have become less interested in the background of everyone's and coaxing, but have learned to look at a practitioner from multiple perspectives, rather than from a single dimension. It's a kind of maturity.

That is to say, in every organization, there are good and bad. When someone asks why you don't go to an organization, it's probably because the organization is high in their minds, a "goal" or a "yearning". But in my case, no. So don't judge others by our own standards, everyone has different aspirations, so the choices are different.

In my case, that's an option. They can choose me, and I have the freedom to go there if I want to or not. It's a two-way street. If you have the ability to carve out a piece of the world on your own, why rely on others?

Therefore, some consultants or new consultants may have more perspectives on the evaluation criteria of consultants, and some consultants are just reluctant to enter certain institutions and platforms. What you define as a "standard" is not within theirs.
