In the training of wooden door maintenance, the trainees often have questions about the gloss treatment. They found that the homes they saw on the market had a bright gloss, while others had a matte finish, and the samples they came into contact with during the learning process were usually matte. In fact, the gloss can be adjusted by spray painting after repair.
At present, there are three main types of products on the market that are used to change gloss. First of all, the hand-sprayed topcoat is the main product of our beautiful family, it has five gloss levels to choose from: high-gloss, glossy, semi-matte, matte and extra-matte. After the repair, we simply select the appropriate spray according to the desired gloss level to spray. When we encounter an effect that requires something between two gloss levels, we can mix and spray the two to get a satisfactory gloss.
Secondly, defogging agents are mainly used for high-precision restoration. It is usually used in conjunction with a hand-sprayed topcoat. Sometimes, after hand spraying the topcoat, we will notice hand-over marks on the surface. At this point, spray with a demist immediately to achieve a perfect transition.
Finally, imported topcoats are also one of the common products on the market, mainly based on the American Mohawk brand. They are characterized by their high hiding power and can quickly eliminate marks after sanding sandpaper. However, the imported topcoat is higher, and the feel after spraying is not delicate enough. At present, imported topcoats on the market are mainly divided into matte, semi-matte, mercerized, semi-bright and glossy.
In the wooden door repair training, we teach not only repair skills, but also how to flexibly use various products to achieve the desired gloss effect. By understanding and mastering the characteristics of these products, the trainees will be able to better respond to various needs in practical work and provide customers with better maintenance services.
