In the long history of ancient times, the word "dedication" as a kind of virtue, has a lofty position. According to the interpretation of the "Confession", the qualities of erudition, merit, virtue, and wisdom are closely related to the word "dedication". For example, Liu Xie during the Three Kingdoms period, after his death, he was given the nickname of "Xian", and was respected by the world as Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty. In fact, as early as the Spring and Autumn Period, four outstanding monarchs were given this nickname.
The first is Jin Xiangong, surnamed Ji, and his name is tricky. He was born in the land of Quwo and was the nineteenth monarch of the Jin Kingdom during the Spring and Autumn Period. During the reign of Jin Xiangong, he not only stabilized his position, but also implemented a series of policies to expand his territory. Through marriages, wars, and diplomacy, he brought the prestige of the Jin Kingdom to its peak. Although there were some family disputes in the latter part of his reign, his exploits were enough to earn him the nickname "Xian" after his death.
The other is Zheng Xiangong, whose exact year of birth and death is unknown, but he remained in the position of the eighteenth monarch of Zheng for five years. In that era when Jin and Chu were competing for hegemony, Zheng Xiangong skillfully maintained a balance between these two powers, so that Zheng Guo could survive and develop. Taking advantage of the weakness of the Chu State, he decisively sent troops to attack its vassal state Xu State, and won a complete victory.
Wei Xiangong was the twenty-fifth monarch of Wei Guo. He firmly supported the Jin state, so that the Wei state remained neutral in the situation of the Jin and Chu hegemony, and at the same time was protected by the Jin state. However, in the eighteenth year of Wei Xiangong, he was forced into exile in Qi because he offended the minister. However, with the assistance of the Jin state, he was eventually able to return to the kingdom and regain his throne.
Finally, there is Yan Xiangong. After the death of Yan Jiangong, he ascended the throne as the monarch of Yan State. During his reign, he witnessed power struggles within the Jin state and political changes in the Qi state. Although the specific deeds and lineage of his deeds are not clear, his exploits still laid the foundation for the development of the Yan Kingdom.
Although these four monarchs had different experiences and achievements, they all contributed greatly to the prosperity of the country and the nation in their own times. They deservedly received the nickname of "dedication" and became a model and model for history.
