Reasons for overload of chiller pumps

Mondo Technology Updated on 2024-02-04

In the daily use of chillers, there are a variety of situations that can occur. No matter what kind of equipment, daily use, daily maintenance, this can not be ignored. Many factories may have such and such small faults, some chillers have passed the shelf life, and some are just small problems that are not worth finding a refrigeration company to solve, learn more about the operation and maintenance of chillers, which can help us solve the problem in time, not only do not delay production, but also save the cost of refrigeration equipment maintenance.

Remind you that there are probably several reasons why the chiller pump is overloaded:

1. Excessive load: When the installation method or piping of the pump is incorrect, such as the water pipe of the pump is too thin, or the customer's load (the number of titanium pipes in the intercooled type is too small), the running resistance of the pump will increase, resulting in the increase of the operating current, triggering the action of the householder, and displaying the overload fault of the pump;

2. Problems with the pump itself: poor bearings, long-term mileage ring insulation resistance decline, etc.

3. Abnormal power supply: when the power supply voltage of the chiller pump is too high or too low, it will cause the pump to run too high and cause the fault phenomenon of pump overload;

4. When there is a foreign body in the water pump of the industrial chiller, the impeller of the water pump may be stuck, which increases the running resistance of the water pump, and the operating current of the water pump increases, triggering the action of the protector;

5. The pump overload protector itself is poor. According to the above possible problems, they can be eliminated one by one, and the damaged parts can be eliminated after they are replaced;

6. Problems with control electrical appliances: the electric shock of the AC contactor has poor contact or burning, which makes the pump run out of items, resulting in the overload of the pump.
