As the saying goes, a thousand cold is easy to remove, but a wet one is difficult to go. Recently, the weather has been rainy and snowy, and the air humidity is high, and it is easy to have symptoms such as body sleepiness, fatigue, fatigue, reduced diet, abdominal distension and loose stools. So how do we tell if there is dampness in our body? What are the ways to get rid of dampness? Please listen to Wang Yi, the attending TCM physician of the Pancheng Street Community Health Service Center, give you a brief introduction.
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that "dampness" is one of the "six evil spirits" of wind, cold, heat, dampness, dryness, and fire in nature. The disease caused by dampness evil has the characteristics of heavy turbidity, stickiness, easy to hurt yang qi, and the course of the disease is lingering and difficult to heal. There are generally two kinds of dampness: external and endogenous, and traditional Chinese medicine generally divides dampness into external dampness and internal dampness. External dampness is mostly caused by the invasion of the human body by external dampness such as humid climate, wading in water and rain, damp residence, etc., that is, external dampness. Internal dampness refers to the growth of dampness from the body, which is mostly caused by the loss of spleen health, lung loss, and kidney dewarming, resulting in the accumulation of dampness, that is, the so-called "spleen deficiency produces dampness, and dampness stops internally".
The production of dampness is mostly caused by the external humid environment and improper diet, and the presence of dampness can be checked according to the following typical symptoms.
1.I always feel that my body is oily and not refreshing, and I need to wash my face and hair frequently, and I have acne on my face and head repeatedly.
2.I often feel tired, and I can't relieve it after sleeping and resting, and even the more I sleep, the more sleepy I become.
3.Abnormal stool, some of which manifest as diarrhea, unformed, sticky to the toilet, and a feeling of unclean stool after defecation; Others present with constipation.
4.When I woke up, my head was groggy, as if I was wearing a heavy helmet.
5.Feeling sticky in the mouth, accompanied by bad breath.
6.The abdomen is soft and not firm, and in severe cases, the face or whole body is swollen.
7.There are obvious tooth marks on the edge of the tongue, and the tongue coating is very thick, and the color of the tongue is not visible through the tongue coating.
Avoid external moisture
It is best to reduce exposure to humidity in daily life, reduce outdoor activities on rainy days, and avoid wading in the rain. Indoor dehumidification can be done with the help of dehumidifiers, desiccant, and air conditioners; Do not sleep directly on the floor, the floor is damp and easy to invade the body and cause soreness in the limbs; After taking a bath, you should fully dry your body and blow dry your hair to avoid external dampness; Do not wear damp and unventilated clothes to avoid external dampness from invading the body.
Exercise to dispel dampness
As the saying goes, fat people are wet, and fat people are mostly not exercisers. The rainy and humid season is less like exercise. The more moisture accumulates in the body, and over time, it will inevitably lead to dampness trapping the spleen and causing a series of diseases. Appropriate exercises such as running, walking, ball games, yoga, tai chi, etc., can help promote qi and blood circulation, increase water metabolism, and accelerate the excretion of moisture from the body.
