In his speech, Gu Huinan pointed out that under the influence of the five major elements of policy, capital, science and technology, market and chain, China's new energy vehicle market has become the world's largest new energy vehicle producer and seller for 9 consecutive years after more than ten years of development. In the future, the competition in the industry will be further intensified, showing a situation of "organic in the volume" and "fast and slow".
Gu Huinan pointed out that on the one hand, the fierce market competition has brought profit pressure to enterprises, but it also contains more opportunities, and the market share of independent brands has continued to increase, and the export volume has been increasing. At the same time, the "New Four Modernizations" are reshaping the pattern of traditional luxury brands, and now is a good time for independent brands to impact upward and build high-end brands. In terms of EV+ICV key technologies, the improvement of battery energy density is slowing down, the next-generation revolutionary technology represented by all-solid-state batteries is brewing, and fast charging technology and energy ecology are also accelerating. At the same time, ICV technology will usher in a second take-off, and 2024 will become an important inflection point for the development of ICV technology and market popularization.
In the past year, GAC Aion has achieved "high-speed + high-quality" development, with sales exceeding 480,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 77%, becoming the world's fastest new energy vehicle company to achieve one million production and sales, and forming core competitiveness in six dimensions: technology self-development, product matrix, service system, manufacturing capacity, industrial chain, and system and mechanism. In the face of future trends, GAC Aion will continue to adhere to the strategy of leading technological innovation and focus on the core areas and key technologies of EV+ICV. In terms of EVs, GAC Aion has achieved full-stack self-production and self-development of the three-electric technology, and will continue to consolidate its leading position and expand its leading edge in order to achieve mass production of all-solid-state batteries in 2026. In terms of ICV, GAC Aion will vigorously promote leading intelligent driving technology in all models of Aion and Haobo dual brands, accelerate the implementation and popularization of cutting-edge intelligent driving technologies such as L3 and urban NDA, and plan to land urban NDA functions in April, and strive to achieve L4 intelligent driving in 2025. Guangdong is a major province of new energy vehicles in China and a leader in the transformation of the "New Four Modernizations" in the automobile industry. In order to further promote the development of Guangdong's new energy vehicle industry, Gu Huinan put forward four suggestions, covering consumption stimulation, charging infrastructure construction, policies and regulations, etc. Gu Huinan said that GAC Aion's software and hardware are ready in L3 autonomous driving technology, and suggested that relevant departments should issue relevant regulations and road traffic signs for autonomous driving as soon as possible to create convenient conditions for the popularization of L3 autonomous driving.
