On the occasion of the Lantern Festival, in order to ensure that the general public can rest assured of the "festival" fee, on February 20, the District Market Supervision Bureau carried out a special inspection of food safety and integrity measurement before the Lantern Festival.
On the morning of the same day, the law enforcement officers of the District Market Supervision Bureau walked into the supermarket (Double Elm Store), where the festive atmosphere was strong and the Lantern Festival dumplings were dazzling. Law enforcement officers focus on the qualifications of operators, suppliers and producers of pre-packaged glutinous rice balls and bulk lantern festivals, focusing on checking whether the packaging labels of the products on sale are true and effective, whether the product name, factory name and factory address are complete, and whether the main ingredients and content of the food, as well as the production date and expiration date are clear. At the same time, the storage conditions, refrigeration facilities, and sales environment temperature of the bulk Lantern Festival are up to standard, and whether they are dust-proof and covered, so as to ensure that the purchase channels are regular and traceable, and resolutely put an end to the flow of Lantern Festival and glutinous rice balls from unknown production channels into the market. "Before the Lantern Festival, we carried out coverage inspections on large supermarkets and supermarket chains in the region, focusing on checking whether the pre-packaged glutinous rice balls and bulk Lantern Festival sold by relevant business entities meet food safety requirements, so as to prevent substandard food or expired food from entering the market. Zhang Kai, chief of the Food Circulation Section of the District Market Supervision Bureau, said.
Law enforcement officers also inspected whether the electronic measuring scales used in supermarkets have passed the mandatory verification and whether they are within the verification cycle. "Many families like to buy bulk Lantern Festival, so that you can buy according to the number of people in the family to avoid waste, whether it is to buy Lantern Festival, glutinous rice balls or other food, we should see the unit price of related commodities, weighing units and other important information when weighing in bulk, pay attention to whether the electronic scale is affixed with a mandatory verification mark, and within the validity period, but also pay attention to whether the weight display value of the electronic scale is zero before weighing. Liu Ping, deputy chief of the metrology section of the District Market Supervision Bureau, said while putting the 500-gram standard weight on the measuring scale, "This supermarket has signed the "Integrity Measurement Self-Commitment", we also need to re-check, with 500 grams of standard weights to review the accuracy of different points of the electronic measuring scale in use, and the results are consistent. The scene also publicized the relevant policies of measurement laws and regulations and compulsory verification of measuring instruments to the operators, and guided the integrity and compliance of the operation.
At the scene, the District Market Supervision Bureau also arranged the "You Point Me Inspection" activity in the form of issuing questionnaires and answering consultations, and collected testing needs from consumers on the spot. At the same time, the law enforcement officers also randomly selected the Lantern Festival and Tangyuan samples for rapid detection of aflatoxin items, and the law enforcement officers sampled the samples, soaked them in the detection reagent, and then inserted the test paper into the soaking reagent to observe the change of the color of the test paper. After inspection, all batches of products sampled on site did not exceed the aflatoxin standard.
In addition to food quality and safety, law enforcement officers also inspected and guided issues such as the Lantern Festival and Tangyuan commodities clearly marked and reasonable, so as to ensure that consumers can buy affordably and eat at ease. The District Market Supervision Bureau will further conduct special inspections on the Lantern Festival, Tangyuan and other seasonal foods sold in the jurisdiction, and resolutely investigate and deal with the illegal acts of selling unqualified and inferior Lantern Festival and Tangyuan, so as to ensure that the masses spend a happy and peaceful Lantern Festival.
