Alipay data shows that during the Spring Festival, the amount of foreign tourists spending in China increased by 500% year-on-year, and the number of merchants doing business with overseas tourists increased by 560% year-on-year.
Alipay users' overseas spending increased by 140% year-on-year. Among them, Southeast Asia was driven by the visa-free policy, and the consumption amount surged by 580% year-on-year.
