Zheng Xiaogu (1801-1872) was originally known as Cunxuan, the word Xianfu, alias Xiaogu, self-proclaimed literate cultivator, grass-clothed mountain man, folk habit called Xiaogu. A native of Baishi Village, Dajing Village Committee, Sicun Town, Xiangzhou County, Guangxi, a Jinshi in the fifteenth year of Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty (1835), a famous educator, economist and poet of the Qing Dynasty, and one of the most influential historical and cultural celebrities of the Zhuang nationality in the history of Guangxi.

Zheng Xiaogu was born in a scholarly family, his distant ancestor was the Eastern Han Dynasty scholar Zheng Xuan, his uncle Zheng Mingzuo and maternal uncle Zhang Mengji were both Qing Dynasty Jinshi, and his father Zheng Shan was a Qing Dynasty tribute. He has received a good family education since he was a child, and he has been diligent and studious since he was a child. 15-year-old Zhongxiucai, 25-year-old Zhongjuren, 35-year-old Zhongjinshi. Zhong Jinshi stayed in Beijing that year to serve as the director of the Jiangsu and Yunnan Divisions of the Criminal Department. Because of dissatisfaction with the dark and corrupt officialdom, he resigned to his hometown after only 14 months as an official on the grounds that his parents were "old and begging". After that, he did not come back, and spent his life reading, teaching, and writing.
Zheng Xiaogu is the author of millions of words of classics, literature, poetry and other works. His poems are "in terms of quantity and artistic quality, and among the classical poets of the Lingnan Zhuang nationality, he is an outstanding and independent person;."Even in the middle of the 19th century, the entire Chinese poetry scene was a shining star", and was known as the "Lingnan genius". He has taught in 12 academies in Xiangzhou, Yizhou, Guilin, Guangzhou and other places, and is known as the "Grandmaster of the Two Cantonese".

Zheng Xiaogu's culture, which is composed of Zheng Xiaogu's character, knowledge and contributions, is broad and profound, and has great value in research and development. The establishment of Guangxi Zheng Xiaogu Culture Research Association has built a platform for contact, communication and exchange for Zheng Xiaogu cultural researchers, enthusiasts and volunteers in Guangxi and even all over the country, uniting more people, gathering greater strength, brainstorming and working together, and is committed to excavating, researching, inheriting, promoting and developing Zheng Xiaogu culture, enhancing cultural soft power, giving full play to the celebrity effect, and helping to revitalize the countryside, which is of far-reaching and significant significance.
There are 60 members of Guangxi Zhengxiaogu Culture Research Association, and members come from Nanning, Guilin, Liuzhou, Laibin, Xiangzhou and other places. Among the members, there are not only veteran leaders Lin Chaoqun, Huang Renwen, Wei Gan, etc., but also professors Luo Shujie and Yue Xiaohua of Guangxi University, Luo Caijuan, professor and doctoral supervisor of Guangxi University for Nationalities, Li Hongwang, professor of Guangxi Hydropower Technology Institute, Luo Yungui, Secretary of the Party Committee of Liuzhou Institute of Technology, etc., as well as Liao Caixing and Su Mei, members of Guangxi Writers Association, Qin Zhaowu and Xu Kaibin, members of Laibin Writers Association, as well as senior middle school teachers such as Tang Likui and Lu Ganbin. At the same time, there are Zheng Chu, doctor, professor and chief physician of Guilin Medical College, Zheng Yan, former party secretary of Xiangzhou County Radio and Television Bureau, Zheng Xiaoyu, general manager of Guangxi Zhengxuan Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and other Zheng clansmen, Fu Xiancheng, chairman of Dongguan Mingcheng New Materials, Qin Wenmao, chairman of Guangxi Haoyuan Technology, and other entrepreneurs.
Guangxi Zheng Xiaogu Culture Research Association is a local, academic and non-profit social organization voluntarily composed of Zheng Xiaogu culture researchers, enthusiasts and volunteers to study, inherit and promote Zheng Xiaogu culture and better serve the local economic and social development.
On the morning of the same day, nearly 100 member representatives from all walks of life in the district, responsible comrades of relevant units and guests attended the meeting. The conference passed the "Articles of Association of Guangxi Zheng Xiaogu Culture Research Association", and elected the first council of Guangxi Zheng Xiaogu Culture Research Association, and the council elected Luo Shujie, a professor of Guangxi University, as the president.
