Argentina, this beautiful South American country, has shown the world its unique style and fascinating culture. As a football lover, I have a lot of love for Argentina because of the stars and the passion for football. However, when I set foot on this land myself, I found myself almost in disbelief that I had actually come to Argentina. Below, I will give you a detailed description of my trip to Argentina.
Before I set foot in Argentina, I stayed in Beijing for a day. When I woke up in the morning, I went to taste a bowl of authentic Peking bean juice and 2 baked cakes, which is a classic combination of Beijing breakfast. I was impressed by the rich flavor of the bean juice and the crispy texture of the yakiniku. At noon, I tried the authentic old Peking fried noodles at a small shop, which was delicious with rich vegetables and unique sauces. I also saw a nostalgic kettle that brought back memories of my childhood. During my day in Beijing, I was able to experience the bustle and charm of the city.
From Beijing, I flew to Paris with Air France. The 13-hour non-stop flight gave me plenty of time to appreciate the facilities and excellent service on board. After a day in Paris, I tasted the local delicacies, including steak and snails. Even though the food here is mainly fried, each dish has its own unique flavor that satisfies my taste buds.
Next, I flew to Buenos Aires, Argentina with Air Europa. On the plane, I enjoyed the spacious seats and the comfortable atmosphere. Although the taste of the in-flight meal was average, it did not affect my pleasant experience of the flight.
When I arrive in Buenos Aires, I need to apply for a visa and pay the relevant documents and fees to customs. I informed the staff in English of my intention to enter the country and went through the immigration procedures quickly. I was impressed by the efficiency of the customs.
In Buenos Aires, you can choose to take a taxi or use Uber to get a taxi. Personally, I recommend using Uber because it is more convenient and reliable. However, make sure your location is accurate so that the driver can't find you. When I first came here, the driver couldn't find me because of the inaccurate positioning. Later, I approached airport security to help solve the problem. Therefore, it is best to find a staff member to help you confirm the location before taking a taxi to avoid accidents. A taxi from the airport to the city costs around US$28 (200 RMB), while a taxi for the same distance costs PHP30,000.
In Buenos Aires, I visited the Columbus Theater. The exterior of this theatre is unremarkable, but the interior is magnificent. I took an English-speaking tour and learned about the history and design of the building. It took up to 20 years to complete and was originally built for the upper class to admire**. There are many ingeniously designed details inside the theater that are breathtaking.
I also visited the Pont des Ladies in Buenos Aires. The bridge itself doesn't have much special, but the Puerto Madero district, where it is located, is the most expensive and fashionable area in Buenos Aires. There are many restaurants and bars on both sides of the bridge, which is a great place for nightlife. After dinner, you can take a walk here and feel the cool night breeze.
I also visited the Obelisk in Argentina, which is a great place to take photos during the day. At night, when the lights come on, the obelisk becomes even more spectacular. There are also lots of street art and food stalls around, making it a place to relax and enjoy.
In Buenos Aires, I also tasted the local cuisine. Argentina is famous for its beef, so I'm sure to try an authentic Argentinian steak. I went to a small local restaurant and ordered a grilled steak with Argentinian wine. The steak is very tender and grilled over a unique charcoal fire, making it delicious. There are many other delicacies in Argentina, such as bacon-wrapped cheese grilled chicken and desserts with coffee and chocolate, that are well worth trying.
The Puerto Madero area is the most affluent and trendy area in Buenos Aires and one of my favorite places. There are many shopping malls and high-end brand stores, and there are plenty of shopping options.
I saw a lot of clothing, accessories and homeware from international brands and local designers in a shopping mall in Puerto Madero. Although some of the items are on the high side, the quality is very good, and every one of them is very exquisite. I bought an Argentinian cowhide bag and a pair of handmade leather shoes, which were of very good quality and had a unique design.
It is also very convenient to live in the Puerto Madero area. There are many high-end restaurants, a variety of cuisines for different tastes, and some with live performances. There are also a number of art galleries and small theatres, where various art events and performances are often held.
As a football lover, when I come to Argentina, I certainly want to visit some football-related places and activities. I went to the La Boca Stadium in Buenos Aires, a symbol of Argentine football tradition and glory. I took a luxurious guided tour of the course and learned about the history and importance of the course. Although I didn't get to play an actual game, I could feel the pride of the fans and the team in this passionate and glorious venue.
Also, I participated in a local street soccer match. The Argentine's love for football is everywhere, and whether it's on the streets of Paris or deep in the alleys, you can always see kids and young people playing football. This street match gave me a glimpse of the true side of Argentine football, and the passion of the locals for football.
In Buenos Aires, you can indulge in a variety of cuisines and specialty tapas. In addition to steak and red wine, there are many other delicacies to try.
Argentine burritos are so famous that you can find them in street shops. The burritos are filled with a variety of different fillings, such as beef, pork, chicken, and vegetables, and are delicious. In addition, there is a special snack in Argentina called "Emaván", which is a mixture of cake and yogurt, which has a very unique taste.
In the street food stalls, you can also find a variety of fruit juices and ice creams. The fruits of Argentina are very abundant and very fresh. You can choose your favorite fruit, and the stall owner will use a juicer to squeeze the juice for you on the spot. This fresh fruit juice is very refreshing and is a great choice for beating the heat.
First of all, Argentina is the southern hemisphere, so the seasons are reversed. The best time to travel is from March to May and September to November, when the weather is more pleasant.
Secondly, Argentina eats late, lunch is mostly around 1 p.m., and dinner is mostly at 9 p.m. or even later. So, you may want to adjust your meal times to suit local habits.
Finally, tipping in Argentina is very important. When dining at restaurants, you will need to tip between 10% and 15%. In taxis, you can give the driver some change as a tip.
Overall, my trip to Argentina was very enjoyable and fulfilling. I was able to experience the country's unique landscape, food and football culture. If you also love travel and football, Argentina will be an excellent choice.
