When it comes to choosing a boiling dryer, many customers may be confused. The same boiling dryer, what is the difference between different forms? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Next, we'll make a simple comparison of vertical boiling and horizontal boiling to help you better understand their advantages.
The production capacity of a single equipment: the production capacity of the horizontal boiling bed is between 100kg-5000kg h, while the production capacity of vertical boiling is between 3-1000 kg h. Therefore, in terms of drying a large amount of material, the horizontal boiling bed is more advantageous.
Initial moisture content adaptation range: The initial moisture content adaptation range of horizontal boiling bed is 5-20% (when the inlet air temperature is higher than 80). The vertical boiling is suitable for all kinds of initial moisture content, as long as there is no large amount of agglomeration when entering the drying equipment. Therefore, vertical boiling has more advantages in the adaptability of the initial moisture content range.
Adaptation range of final moisture content: The final moisture content of horizontal boiling bed decreases with the increase of exhaust temperature, and the typical application range is 05-5% (when the exhaust air temperature is higher than 60). Vertical boiling is especially suitable for drying materials with low final moisture content, and for materials without crystal water, the moisture content can be controlled at 01% or less. Therefore, vertical boiling is more advantageous in the drying of materials with low final moisture content.
Material residence time: The material residence time of horizontal boiling bed is short, and the typical residence time is 5-15min (bed length 5 meters). The residence time of the vertical boiling bed can be extended indefinitely until the end of the drying of the material. Therefore, for materials that need to be dried for a long time, vertical boiling is more advantageous.
Uniformity of final moisture content of the material: There is a reverse mixing phenomenon in the horizontal boiling bed, and some wet materials will quickly jump to the discharge end. This may affect the uniformity of the final moisture content. The vertical boiling bed presents a plunger flow, and the unfinished material will not be released from the equipment, which can effectively ensure the uniformity of the final moisture content of the material. Therefore, in terms of the uniformity of the final moisture content of the material, vertical boiling is more advantageous.
To sum up, vertical boiling and box boiling have their own advantages. Horizontal boiling is suitable for the drying of a large number of materials, while vertical boiling is suitable for the drying of small and medium-sized batches of materials, especially in the drying of materials with low temperature and low final moisture content. When choosing a boiling dryer, you should consider your specific needs and conditions to choose the best equipment for you.
