My name is Yang Xiaolong, a post-80s generation who loves to travel.

When I was 26 years old, I was an ordinary courier. On the way, I met an old man who fell to the ground and hurried up to help, but in the end he couldn't keep the old man.

This incident really touched me and made me think about the meaning of life. So, I quit my job and started a one-person, one-bike journey, where I had to find meaning in life.

I once spent 8 days riding 7,000 kilometers across Pakistan, India, and Nepal, and I didn't expect to be reported by CCTV.

Now 33 years old, I have my own business and opened a travel company to lead more freedom-loving people along the way. But the only regret is that I've always been single. I hope that in the new year, I can find the girl I like and accompany her for a lifetime.

I'm Yang Xiaolong with a height of 183 meters).

I was born in Anhui in November 1989, the eldest in my family, with two younger brothers. Although I was born in Anhui, I followed my parents to Jiaxing since I was a child.

When I was 16 years old, I dropped out of school. In order to subsidize his family, he went out to work, and later worked as a courier.

On June 8, 2016, on the way to deliver a courier, I saw an uncle carrying a gas canister and riding a bicycle suddenly fall, the bicycle slid towards the road**, and the uncle fell heavily to the side of the road.

I hurriedly stopped the car, ran to the uncle's side desperately, held his blood-covered face with my hands, and shouted: "Uncle! Uncle! You wake up, it's going to be fine, the ambulance will be there soon, you hold on a little longer. ”

But the uncle didn't respond, and I felt his breathing slowly weaken, as if life was about to slip through my fingers.

An ambulance came and took the uncle to the hospital, but he still died.

Later, the uncle's family sent a pennant to the courier company to thank me for saving his father, and the company also rewarded me with 5,000 yuan, but I didn't ask for the money.

At the age of 26, I rode back to Lhasa for the first time for more than two months).

This incident touched me a lot, it turns out that life is so fragile, it is really tomorrow or the accident I don't know which one will come first

In the next few days, the appearance of my uncle when he was dying lingered in my mind, making me sigh at the fragility of life and thinking about what I should do.

So, I quit my job, and a few days later, with a backpack and a bicycle, I set off to find meaning in life.

I was just 26 years old.

On my first trip, I chose Pakistan and from there to India, then to Nepal and back from Nepal**.

This is also Xuanzang's westward journey, and I saw the beautiful scenery of Karakoram along the way. There are many peaks above 7,000 kilometers above sea level, and when you look up, you can see the blue sky, and you can feel the white clouds when you stretch out your hand.

In between, I rode to four more countries in Southeast Asia. When I passed through Laos, it happened to be the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the waiter in the Chinese restaurant on the roadside saw that I was a fellow countryman and gave me a piece of mooncake.

This is a heart-warming Mid-Autumn Festival mooncake).

This piece of moon cake reminds me of Wang Wei's sentence "Being alone in a foreign land as a stranger, thinking of relatives every festival." "It also made me realize the sincerity and kindness flowing in the blood of the descendants of Yan and Huang.

More than two months later, standing in front of the Potala Palace, I had changed from a white young man to a sturdy young man with a swarthy face. I said to myself, "Bruce Yang, you're awesome!" ”

Life is just an experience, you can't take anything with you, you can't keep anything, but I never want to give up because the process will bring new gains.

In 2018, a motorcycle company in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, gave me a motorcycle worth 50,000 or 60,000 yuan, as well as a complete set of equipment and some supplies, to encourage me to continue my journey around the world.

This allowed me to push my limits and travel more than 7,000 kilometers in 8 days through three countries: Pakistan, India, and Nepal on a motorcycle. CCTV also conducted an interview and report on the incident.

Cycling has challenged life's limits).

I remember that it was October 8, 2018, and I had to return from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, to the Kuala border crossing, and the time was half past four in the afternoon, and the time of the retreat was six o'clock.

If I can't make it, I'll have to spend the night outside the city gates.

At that moment, I felt like a child who was about to go home. I still had 50 kilometers to go, and my tires were almost worn out.

The mountain road is rugged, with many stones lying on the side of the road, and the motorcycle is bumpy all the way, and the abyss is on the left side of the car. If I wasn't paying attention, I would jump off the cliff in a graceful posture and hug the earth.

Legend has it that in the middle of the 8th century AD, this was the way for the Indian Buddhist scholar Nyingma to pass on the scriptures to Tibet.

Perhaps it was the feeling of homesickness that moved the heavens, and I returned to Lhasa before the retreat.

I felt alive while I was on the road).

In addition to the joy, I realized a truth - what is believing. People should have a good heart and believe that all good things will meet us unexpectedly.

Over the years, I have traveled from Europe to South Africa to nearly 40 countries, and slowly gained some popularity, and also opened my own travel company, leading more freedom-loving people to travel with me to see the vast world.

During the trip, the most impressive thing was Pakistan.

When refueling locally, they will ask you if you are Chinese, and I answer yes. They would smile and pull me out of the waiting crowd and get a taste of what it means to be superior.

Once, while cycling through a Pakistani slum where there were a lot of tents, I stopped to eat with them. But their kind of curry, I have a hard time getting used to, and I vomit and vomit after eating. When they saw that I was holding on so badly, they made bread for me to eat.

At that time thanks to this pie)

A little boy carries a plate with his dirty little hands on which is a food similar to Xinjiang naan, which is what they call bread.

The little boy's long eyelashes blinked, his big black eyes were unusually bright, and he said in the gentlest voice in the world, "Eat!" ”

At that moment, my heart suddenly became clear, it turned out that the Pakistani people are so friendly to the Chinese, even if they are poor, they will give everything they have. They don't have money, but they have a good heart.

Kazuo Inamori once said: "One day you will understand that it is never time that can really ** you, but the relief and pattern in your heart." ”

Now, every time my travel company goes to Pakistan, even if it's a detour, I go to that ghetto to see them.

The customers and friends who traveled with them were also happy to send them flour, bread and milk. The kids like to drink cow the most, and sometimes we leave some supplies there.

Happy ghetto friends).

During this time, I helped build a school for the poor and gave them masks during the pandemic.

My idea is very simple, just because of that saying - those who love love to return, and those who are blessed are blessed.

In 2019, the Ambassador of Pakistan to China invited me to meet at the Embassy in Beijing to commend my contribution to Pakistan. Speaking from the bottom of my heart, I am really ashamed, I have only done a modest contribution to China-Pakistan friendship, and there is still a long way to go.

However, this honor also strengthened my belief in passing on kindness. In Pakistan, I always have two flags flying on the back of my motorcycle.

The wind was blowing and the two national flags were fluttering in the wind, and I felt as if I was the embodiment of the messenger of friendship, galloping on this hot land of Pakistan with the friendship of the Chinese people.

As my confidence grew, I thought I could try more challenges in life, but I forgot that people are always overconfident and make the mistake of being fearless and ignorant, and I am no exception.

This is a photo of me with the Ambassador of Pakistan to China).

It was in 2019 that I was transiting through Afghanistan from Pakistan. At that time, I only knew that the two countries were constantly at war, but I always thought that it was far away from me.

When we arrived in Afghanistan, local military officers called in police cars to escort us from Peshawar to Islamabad, the capital, and informed us that the Taliban were not yet in power and that there was danger on the way.

At that moment, I realized the seriousness of the situation and said to the officer with apologies: "Thank you! He hooked up with me like a buddy and responded with a smile: "It's safe!" ”

At the time, I was glad that I grew up in China and grew up in such a safe country, and this feeling has always been with me on my journey.

I have been to Kurdish-populated areas on the borders of Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria, where they have established an independent "Republic of Kurdistan," an autonomous region to be exact.

This is the good brotherly Afghan police officer)

There is an organization called the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), and its fighters are mostly concentrated in northern Iraq and northern Syria. Turkey considers the group a terrorist organization and has repeatedly crossed the border to strike.

In this place, I can barely see some scenes of normal life, and when I transited through Iraq, it completely turned my eyes upside down.

As far as the eye could see, there were no more than ruins and ruins, and I ran curiously to an empty house.

Warm sunlight was streaming in through the blown out, glassless windows, which hung half-sections of the wall, as if the wind could fall at any moment.

At that moment, I personally felt the cruelty of war and the helplessness of people displaced, as well as the importance of peace and living and working in peace and contentment to human survival, and I felt how proud and proud I was as a Chinese.

Because of the care of the strong arms of the motherland, overseas travelers feel more down-to-earth and warm in their hearts no matter where they are. Before I knew it, I was singing: "I love you China!" ”

Every time I look at this **, I feel a lot of emotion)

If the above is considered to be dangerous, then the next can be described as despair.

It was in Russia, and I inadvertently rode into a no-man's land, more than minus 30 degrees, with no shops, no residential areas, and only a small bite of bread remained。And I had to hold out for two days in no man's land to get to the next supply store.

The extreme cold and hunger calmed my heart down, and in the snow-white expanse, I seemed to see the most beautiful flowers in the world blooming, and I don't know if I was hallucinating.

At that moment, I thought that maybe people could really go crazy in order to find satisfaction that they couldn't get in the real world in a crazy fantasy. It was also at that time that my heart was like a boat carrying hope into the ideal harbor, unwavering despite the wind and waves.

It was this light boat full of hope that led me, and two days later I managed to get out of the no-man's land.

I held on to this bite of bread for two days)

This experience made me know the preciousness of life, and also confirmed that life is an experience, to accept suffering, accept uncertainty, and accept the inevitable arrangement of fate.

I like to travel, and I think that travel not only broadens my horizons, but more importantly, it allows me to reflect or think of something deeper when witnessing different journeys in life.

Sometimes, I feel like a monk Xuanzang who learns from the scriptures, exploring the meaning of life along the way and helping those who are poorer than me. Although I am not rich, I believe that the spiritual world of abundance is more precious.

I've done some, just to remind everyone to go all the way and help more people in need when they can.

In fact, while doing this, my company is also facing a test of survival. Someone asked me, "Will you still hold on?" My reply: "Definitely!" ”

In the past, a person rode alone, set up a tent, repaired a tire burst, and encountered a robbery, and got stuck at the pass. On the way, I drank mountain spring water when I was thirsty, a piece of bread for three days, bathed in sand in the desert, and suffered everything. Now, I have my own business, and although I have encountered difficulties, cycling has taught me that if I persevere, I will definitely achieve what I want.

An Indian motorcycle friend who met on the road).

I always wanted to write a book about my experience, and some publishers asked me to write a manuscript, but I only wrote a third of it, and I ran aground because I was too busy with work.

In fact, I know in my heart that I dropped out of school early to work, and I have accumulated too little culture, so I am somewhat unconfident in my heart. But I will not give up, sooner or later I will fulfill this goal in life.

I also hope that young children will study hard when they have books, so as not to hate books when they are in use, like me.

In fact, there is an even bigger wish, I am still single, and I have been busy with work and career all these years, ignoring my personal problems.

Time flies like a white horse, and suddenly I have come to 33 years old, watching others go out in pairs, Qin Se and Ming, I envy from the bottom of my heart.

I don't know the one in the dream who is in **? Please come to my side and let me take you, chasing the direction of the sun to see the rainbow, even if it crosses thousands of mountains and rivers, I will bring you the most intimate care.

Friends, in 2024, will my wish come true?
