Special report on the 2024 World Conference on Digital Education

Education, as an important field of "human self-reproduction", is a new problem that we will face in the future, whether it is to integrate more digital means into education governance or to make education governance more energy-efficient based on digital capabilities.

As the highland of basic education in Shanghai, Xuhui District takes "building an excellent education system and a modern and strong district with high-quality education" as its development goal, and always adheres to the overall idea of education-oriented, high-quality and balanced, integrated development, innovation and creativity.

On this basis, the application of digital technology relies on the advancement of humanistic thinking in education. Different roles such as executors and decision-makers gradually establish community thinking, organizational thinking and relationship thinking; The development from paradigm to individuality is no longer a single controllable order norm, but through associational, collaborative, and systematic thinking, it excavates the real needs and motivations of learners, and provides the most realistic learning situation.

The application of digital technology in the development of education governance has triggered the transformation and innovation of humanistic thinking, organizational management and education scenarios. The development of digital governance is a dynamic process in which multiple subjects jointly manage education public affairs and move towards maturity, which leads and activates agile collaboration supported by data and mobility, and ultimately serves the new pattern of efficient, fair, free and orderly education.

It is a trend to analyze the current situation of education governance by digital means, and data empowerment is an effective measure to promote education development. Decision-making in the field of education often relies on experience and intuition, but this approach is susceptible to subjective bias and does not allow for scientific and objective decision-making. Through education data governance, the basis of educational decision-making can be shifted to empirical data, so as to make decision-making more scientific, objective and effective.
