Special report on the 2024 World Conference on Digital Education
Shanghai, January 31 (Reporter Huang Lulu) Today, at the closing ceremony of the 2024 World Digital Education Conference, Qin Changwei, Secretary-General of the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, released a compilation of international digital education cases.
The Chinese National Commission for UNESCO led the call for global cases, and the UNESCO Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Education at Beijing Normal University was responsible for the collation. A total of 55 cases were included in the compilation, covering 35 countries and regions on five continents, including digital education practices at all levels such as countries, communities, and schools. Among them, 19 cases have won the UNESCO Award for Informatization in Education and the Wenhui Award for Educational Innovation in the Asia-Pacific Region. The cases are divided into six themes: "Building an Interconnected Public Platform and Creating an Intelligent Learning Environment", "Sharing High-quality Resources and Narrowing the Digital Divide", "Promoting the Deep Integration of Digital Technology and Education and Building a New Education Ecology", "Innovating Education and Teaching Methods to Improve the Digital Literacy of Teachers and Students", "Building an Inclusive Digital Learning System to Strengthen Education Resilience to Crises", and "Protecting the Right to Education for the Most Marginalized Groups and Ensuring Inclusive Access to Digital Education".
The case compilation reflects the diversity of global digital education participants, the inclusiveness of value creation, the innovation of technological development, and the extensive exchange and cooperation, and vividly tells the wonderful stories of all parties in promoting the innovation and development of digital education, which will provide useful reference for the development of digital education in various countries.
