Here it is. Tibetan black pottery firing technique.
Tibetan black pottery firing skills are mainly distributed in Tangdui Village, Nixi Township, Shangri-La County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and the craft has a history of thousands of years. In this holy land, the wisdom of the Tibetan people has been passed down through the baptism of time, forming a unique black pottery culture, turning ordinary soil into immortal and exquisite works of art, making it a bright pearl of the plateau. Each piece is carefully clayed, hand-kneaded, meticulously carved and carefully fired, and its charm lies in its unique black luster and texture, as if it contains infinite magic.
The Tibetan black pottery handicraft products in Tangdui Village can be roughly divided into two categories: daily necessities and religious utensils, they have complete varieties, wide uses, and integrate use, ornamentality and craftsmanship, which fully shows the creativity and expressiveness of Tibetan folk pottery. It not only decorates the lives of the people, but also becomes the carrier of Tibetan culture.
In 2008, the Tibetan black pottery firing technique was approved to be included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. This piece of black pottery is like a mysterious elf, jumping in the long river of history, they tell the ancient story, witness the vicissitudes of the plateau, they are cultural treasures, but also the belief of the nation.
