1. The country's first zero-carbon power supply station

2. The first LEED net-zero carbon certified library in China

The Fu Lei Library in Zhoupu Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, has been awarded the world's first LEED net-zero carbon certified library.

The project uses the rooftop and outdoor parking lot space to build photovoltaic power stations, build a new power system with microgrid as the core technology to support optical storage and charging equipment, and about 67% of the annual electricity of the building is replaced by green electricity, greatly reducing the carbon emissions of building operation.

As a key pilot project of Shanghai standardization and a microgrid demonstration project in the park from 2022 to 2024, the zero-carbon transformation of Fu Lei Library has played a leading role in promoting the improvement of relevant standards, international mutual recognition, and the application of green and low-carbon advanced technologies.

3. The country's first zero-carbon heating city

Shandong Nuclear Power's 4.5 million square meter Nuanhe No. 1 project was put into operation in Haiyang City, Shandong Province.

As a demonstration project for the comprehensive utilization of nuclear energy in Hai Duong's 14th Five-Year Plan, the nuclear energy heating project has been in operation for four heating seasons since 2019, providing a total of 4.56 million gigajoules of clean heat, saving about 390,000 tons of raw coal consumption, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 710,000 tons, nitrogen oxides by about 4,400 tons, sulfur dioxide by about 4,650 tons, and soot by about 2,700 tons compared with before nuclear energy heating.

The project covers the entire urban area and benefits 200,000 residents, making Hai Duong the first "zero-carbon" heating city in the country.

4. The country's first McDonald's "zero-carbon restaurant".

McDonald's Beijing McDonald's Shougang Park drive-thru restaurant officially opened, becoming the first LEED-certified "zero-carbon restaurant" in China.

The "zero-carbon mode" of Shougang Park restaurant reduces carbon emissions by about 200 tons per year. The store is equipped with eco-friendly charging parent-child bicycles, which allow consumers to wirelessly charge their mobile phones by pedaling the bicycles and driving power generation. 5. The country's first zero-carbon park

The Beijing Green Exchange issued a carbon neutrality certificate to Goldwind Yizhuang Smart Park, and Xinjiang Goldwind Yizhuang Smart Park became China's first renewable energy "carbon neutral" smart park.

The park's ecosystem integrates functions such as renewable energy, smart microgrid, smart water, green agriculture and sports health.

By Deployment 48MW distributed wind power, 13MW distributed photovoltaics, lithium batteries, supercapacitors and other forms of intelligent microgrids will achieve 50% of clean energy electricity in 2020, and offset all greenhouse gases emitted in the park through the purchase of China Certified Emission Reductions (CCER).

6. The country's first zero-carbon village

The first phase of China's first zero-carbon science and technology innovation village was put into use in Zhuxiaohui Village, Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, which is the first zero-carbon village officially opened in China.

By recycling construction waste, reusing and re-discharging 100% of wastewater and domestic waste, and 100% local treatment of kitchen waste, about 400 acres of farmland has achieved precise irrigation through technical means, saving 50% of water irrigation and reducing carbon emissions by 20%.

The village uses renewable energy sources such as wind, geothermal, solar, biomass, and hydrogen energy to complement each other and achieve carbon neutrality. It has become China's first demonstration project for the full system application of "low-carbon smart city facilities", and the only zero-carbon demonstration project in the third anniversary of the key construction project of the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone.

7. The country's first zero-carbon big data center

China Telecom's Digital Qinghai Green Big Data Center was completed and opened in Haidong City, Qinghai Province.

The big data center highlights the three key characteristics of green, zero-carbon and traceability, and adopts advanced cooling technologies such as indirect evaporative cooling and liquid cooling, combined with the cold climate of Qinghai, which can achieve 314 days a year without air conditioning and 100% traceable green electricity**.

The data center is the country's first 100% clean energy traceable green big data center, and through the big data platform to display 100% green electricity traceability** data in real time, it is also the country's first big data center field of source-grid-load-storage integrated green power smart system demonstration model.

8. The country's first zero-carbon smart expressway

The zero-carbon smart expressway of the Jiwei section of the Jinan-Qingdao Middle Line, invested and constructed by Shandong High-speed Group, was officially opened to traffic. So far, the Jinan-Qingdao Middle Line has been fully connected, and the mileage of expressways in Shandong Province has exceeded 8,200 kilometers.

Focusing on the five systems of "intelligent management and service, fast passage, safety guarantee, green energy saving, and vehicle-road coordination", the project takes the smart tunnel as the breakthrough point and the zero-carbon goal as the guide, and the Jiwei section of the Jiqing Middle Line adopts slope photovoltaic, smart microgrid and other technologies to develop a new energy management and control platform, becoming the country's first photovoltaic slope integration test section and the first zero-carbon standard road section, marking a new leap in the green and low-carbon transformation of Shandong Expressway.

As the country's first zero-carbon smart expressway, the Jiwei section of the Jinan-Qingdao Middle Line was completed and opened to traffic, creating a leading zero-carbon smart expressway with demonstration and driving effect in the country.

At the confluence of five rivers in the sub-center of the city, the country's first steel structure + full curtain wall system "double zero" building - sub-center planning exhibition hall.

The building area of the museum is 758378 square meters, annual energy consumption 3150,000 kWh, annual power generation of 900,000 kWh, comprehensive energy saving rate of buildings to reach 100%, annual carbon emissions of about 37073 tons, with an average annual total carbon reduction of 724 tons (about equal to the annual carbon sequestration of 1,811 acres of forest), and the building as a whole has achieved "carbon neutrality".
