In the first phase of Shunyi Wenyu River Park in Beijing, the author was fortunate to witness a unique Spring Festival intangible cultural heritage performance. Although the number of spectators was not very large, the atmosphere was lively. The performance focused on intangible cultural heritage, presenting a series of traditional art treasures such as the Zengzhuang drum, the Jingxi Taiping drum, and the Yanqing dry boat. Zengzhuang drum, originated from Zengzhuang Village, Yang Town, Shunyi District, is known for its huge drum shape and heavy weight, forming a unique artistic style. Every time the drum sounds, it seems to tell an ancient story, which is shocking. The Jingxi Taiping Drum, also known as the "Single Drum", is the bright pearl of folk dance in Mentougou District. With its profound historical heritage and unique performance form, dance has attracted the attention of many audiences. Dressed in costumes and holding drumsticks, the dancers dance to the rhythm in an elegant and powerful manner. Yanqing dry boat is a unique traditional folk dance in Yanqing District, using dry boat as a prop to simulate the movements and plots of a boat on the water, showing a vivid and interesting performance. The actors are hidden in boat-shaped props, and through superb skills and vivid performances, the audience is transported into a fantasy world. During the performance, wonderful programs such as dragon dance and stilt walking pushed the atmosphere to a climax. The audience was impressed by the superb skills and enthusiasm of the actors, and the applause continued to ring.
This performance not only allowed the author to enjoy a wonderful performance, but also gained a deeper understanding of intangible cultural heritage and aroused a strong interest. The unique charm and profound heritage of these excellent traditional art forms are astounding. I look forward to seeing more such excellent traditional culture performances in the future, so that more people can feel the charm and pride of Chinese culture.
