Samsung has announced that it will begin rolling the One UI 23 to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series starting at the end of March 20241 Update. This update will bring some of the AI features on the Galaxy S24 series to older high-end phones, some of which will run on the device and some of which will require an internet connection.
According to IT Home, Samsung aims to bring Galaxy AI capabilities to more than 100 million Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and wearables by the end of 2024. one ui 6.1 The update will bring features such as Browse Assistant, Chat Assistant, Tag Search, Generative Editing, Instant Slo-Mo, Translator, Real-Time Translation, Notes Assistant, and Transcription Assistant to these devices.

The chat assistant feature allows users to adjust the tone of language when sending messages, and provides grammar and tone improvements, and supports chat apps in 13 different languages. The tag search feature allows users to tag anything on the screen and get more relevant information online.
The generative editing feature lets users select and erase unwanted objects from the image, as well as select and rearrange repositioned objects to make the image look more perfect. You can also adjust poorly angled images and use generative AI to create matching content to fill in the remaining space. The Instant Slow Motion feature allows the user to turn any regular frame into slow motion, using AI to generate intermediate frames, doubling the number of frames in it.
Translator mode allows users to talk to people who don't speak their own language. This mode is turned on in split-screen mode on regular phones, foldable phones, and tablets. Words spoken by Galaxy device users are transcribed and converted into any other language of choice. The translated text is then converted into speech so that the other party can hear it in their language. Similarly, the real-time translation feature translates the language in real-time during a voice call, and the feature also works with some supported chat apps, such as WhatsApp.
The note-taking assistant feature can help users summarize the text content in Samsung notes, get summaries, and even work with some text formatting templates. The transcription assistant feature works with Samsung's built-in voice recorder app to transcribe speech from a recording to text and can even tag up to ten speakers so that users can better understand the content. All transcriptions can be aggregated, making them ideal for use in classes and conferences.
It is worth mentioning that One UI 61 Some features introduced by the update, such as wallpaper support in always-on display, will not be applied to any Galaxy smartphone or tablet released prior to Galaxy S24.
As for other Samsung phones, many models will also receive One UI 61 update, but for now it is expected that AI capabilities will be limited to Samsung's flagship devices released in 2023 and beyond.
