It is understood that Hyundai Kia's electric pickup truck**, according to a recent trademark application filed in Australia, Hyundai's upcoming battery electric pickup truck may be called the Ioniq T10, the size will be benchmarked against the Ford F-150, the front light cluster resembles the ideal L series, and the grille is very similar to the radar RD6.

The trademark was filed on December 27, 2023 and covers a wide range of automotive applications, including "automotive," "electric vehicle," and "auto parts." Notably, the inclusion of the "IONIQ" moniker suggests that the car will follow the Hyundai EV brand, similar to its existing IONIQ models.

Presumably, the "10" means that it will be positioned at the top of the brand's EV lineup, at least in terms of size, above the upcoming Ioniq 7 (a modern version of the Kia EV9 SUV).

The report also mentions that although the trademark application was filed in Australia, the local area will not be the primary market for the vehicle. The pickup is also expected to be available in North America, but it's unclear if it will match the footprint of full-size models like the Ford F-150 and GMC Sierra or small midsize trucks like the Chevrolet Colorado.

Not much other information is known about this truck. It is reasonable to assume that its design will be as striking as the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6. It may also share its mechanical components, including electric motors and battery packs, with other modern electric vehicles. We suspect it's likely to come with a dual-motor that allows all-wheel drive, but a single-motor rear-wheel drive version is also possible.

Current reports suggest that Hyundai may be preparing to launch a new model in 2025 or 2026. It is reported that Kia is also developing a diesel-powered pickup truck that is said to be called "Tasman", and it is expected to eventually launch an all-electric version.
