As one of the first two noncommissioned officer schools established in the whole army, the Navy Non-commissioned Officer School was formally established in Bengbu City, Anhui Province on November 1, 1986.

The school mainly offers 34 majors in six categories: navigation, electromechanical, communications, electronics, weapons, and management, covering all types of sergeant training, such as sergeant vocational and technical education, sergeant promotion training, sergeant pre-selection training, management sergeant training and directional training sergeant training.
