Why does pool water turn green all of a sudden? Especially after several heavy rains in a row, there is still a lot of foam on the water surface, which gives people a very dirty feeling!
In fact, after several days of rain, the residual chlorine concentration of the water decreases, and the pH of the water also decreases, so that bacteria and algae have room to grow. Once bacteria and algae multiply rapidly, the water will turn green in a very short period of time. So, how to solve this situation?
First of all, to add the algaecide copper sulfate, the amount must be twice as much as usual, and then open the circulation system to let the agent mix as evenly as possible in the water to achieve the best effect.
After about 2 hours, add trichloroisocyanuric acid disinfectant (shock), and add the standard amount of 4kg per 1000 cubic meters of water (usually add 2kg per 1000 cubic meters of water), which is what we usually call impact treatment or superchlorine treatment, so that the water in the swimming pool can be fully sterilized and disinfected, and the pool walls, steps, stairs, and tile joints are brushed with a brush to remove stubborn algae.
After about two hours, the precipitant polyaluminum chloride or aluminum sulfate (industrial alum) is added, and the dosage is 5-8kg per 1000 cubic meters of water, so that the fine algae and other suspended solids that have been killed in the water can be precipitated to the bottom of the pool.
The next day, use a pool vacuum cleaner to suck up the sediment from the bottom of the pool, backwash and rinse the rinse sand tank, and drain all the debris into the sewer. The residual chlorine content of the pool water was measured, and an appropriate amount of chlorine was placed in the skimmer hole.
Finally, the pH value of the water is measured, generally after rain and the use of disinfectant, the pH value of the water will be low, so it is necessary to use a regulator to increase the pH value (borax soda powder), and the amount added is calculated by adding 10kg per 1000 cubic meters of water to increase by 1 degree. It is best to adjust the pH to 75。After the previous steps are completed, the pH value is adjusted to avoid vacuum cleaning and backwashing, which will drain dirty water and chemicals into the sewer and affect the effect.
