On February 1, with the completion of the construction of the upper block in Qingdao West Coast New Area, the land construction of the comprehensive processing platform of the second phase of CNOOC's "Shenhai No. 1" project was completed, marking the key progress of the project construction and laying a solid foundation for the project to be put into operation on schedule.
The comprehensive treatment platform of the second phase of the "Shenhai No. 1" project is composed of a jacket and an upper block, with a total height of about 136 meters, equivalent to the height of a nearly 49-story residential building, and a total weight of 12,215 tons, equivalent to the weight of more than 8,100 cars. Among them, the jacket is an eight-legged and 12-skirt pile jacket, which was completed in Shenzhen in mid-January this year; The upper block consists of two parts, the planar length of its deck plate is 575 meters, 36 meters wide, the projection area is equivalent to the size of 5 standard basketball courts.
According to reports, the platform applies a number of sets of domestic equipment with completely independent intellectual property rights, such as 7 MW gas turbine generator sets, and is equipped with the largest offshore platform slug flow trap independently selected and designed by CNOOC, which is used to eliminate the risk of level fluctuation and blockage of oil and gas mixed pipelines and ensure the reliable operation of oil and gas processing equipment.
The "Shenhai No. 1" ultra-deepwater gas field, which was put into operation in June 2021, has proven geological reserves of more than 100 billion cubic meters of natural gas, a maximum water depth of more than 1,500 meters, and a maximum well depth of more than 4,000 meters.
After the second phase of the project is put into operation, the peak annual output of the "Shenhai No. 1" ultra-deepwater gas field can be increased by 50%, and it will become an important gas source to ensure national energy security.
