It is reported that NCSsoft plans to launch "Aion 2" under development next year (2025).
On the 26th, Hanwha Investment** researcher So-Hye Kim produced a report on the afterword of the NCSOFT corporate briefing held on the 20th.
According to researcher Kim, NC plans to launch five projects this year. Among them, "Battle Crush" and "Sword & Soul S" are likely to be released in the first half of the year, and the international server "Throne and Freedom" and "games adapted from existing IPs" are planned to be released in the second half of the year. The "Sword and Soul 2", which has obtained the version number, is also expected to be released in China in the second half of this year.
However, the release of RTS-type Plan G and Aion 2 has been postponed to 2025.
In this regard, researcher Jin commented that "Battle Smash", as a casual action game, is only suitable for using a light kryptonite system. Therefore, it is more suitable to try to secure new users and types than to contribute to performance. Therefore, it is difficult for NCSOFT to expect to achieve performance growth through new games until the first half of the year.
In addition, Researcher Kim**, who heard NC's outlook at the company briefing, said that sales in the first quarter of this year will decrease by 14% from the previous quarter to 413.7 billion won (equivalent to about 2.2 billion yuan). While sales of Lineage M will continue to remain strong, a downturn in the performance of Lineage 2M and Lineage W, which have been renewed, is inevitable.
