Indonesia GRS certification has strict requirements for child labor, and here are seven of them:
Child labor under the age of 15 shall not be employed. If the local minimum age is set at 14 years, then developing countries can apply for this low age under ILO Convention No. 138.
Accredited units should establish written policies and procedures to ensure that child labor is not employed, and these policies and procedures should be strictly enforced.
Factories must check, verify, and retain documentation of all employed workers' age evidence to ensure that there is no child labor.
If required by regulations, factories must register young workers with the local administration.
If required by regulations, the facility shall provide all young employees with a pre-employment medical examination and a regular post-employment medical examination, and the cost of the medical examination shall be paid by the factory.
Certified organizations shall treat employees with respect and shall not engage in or tolerate any form of bullying, harassment, or abuse, both physical and psychological.
Certified employers shall ensure that working conditions are safe and healthy and do not endanger the physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development of juvenile workers.
