On the afternoon of February 2, the "2023 Praise Moment" New Year's Eve event hosted by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology was successfully carried out at the Exhibition Center of Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, and the annual announcement and release of "Praise Moment, 2023 Capital Science Popularization" was carried out at the same time. As one of the series of activities of the "2024 Science New Year" of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, this event is composed of three chapters: "Inheritance", "Mission" and "Future", with the core of praising scientific and technological workers in various industries in the capital and helping the construction of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
During the event, Zhou Zhonghe, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, paleontologist and chairman of the China Science Writers Association, said in his keynote speech on "The Fame of Mr. Big in the New Era" that the "Mr. Big" in the scientific community lies in the profundity of scientific research, in the breadth of popular science, in the purity of faith, and in the country in his heart. Yao Yugui, Dean of the School of Physics of Beijing Institute of Technology and representative of the first "Beijing Advanced Science and Technology Worker Year" and Beijing's "Most Beautiful Science and Technology Worker", told the team's experience of exploring the mysteries of the quantum world over the years in his speech "Quantum Life, Chasing the Light", and believed that inheritance is particularly important on the road of scientific research. Li Jinglin, director of the Exchange and Intelligent Control Research Center of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and representative of the industrial commissioner of Beijing's "Thousands of People into Thousands of Enterprises" special action, gave a speech on the theme of "From Automatic to Autonomous - Building the Intelligent Digital Base of the Future".
The annual list of "2023 Capital Science Popularization" and the 2023 Capital Academic Top Ten Influential Academic Conference of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology were also released at the event. 10 annual popular science teams such as the team of academician Sun Lili of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 10 annual popular science exhibitions such as "Looking for the Taste of Beijing" National Geographic Indication Agricultural Products Series Promotional Videos, 10 annual popular science exhibitions such as "Infinite - Understanding the Dimensions of the World", 10 annual popular science activities such as "Going to a Trip to Science and Beauty", and 10 annual popular science new accounts such as Guoke The honor list was announced, and a total of 50 popular science contents in Beijing were on the list, focusing on the capital's achievements in talents, The characteristic highlights and main achievements of science popularization, academics, science and technology innovation and other work demonstrate that Beijing has gradually formed a complete science popularization ecosystem with distinctive social synergy attributes.
