Does Night Light really protect my eyes?

When we stare at the screen of our mobile phone for a long time, our eyes are sore and our vision is reduced, many people will think of turning on the eye protection mode. But does eye protection really protect our eyes as we expect?

The core function of Night Light mode is to reduce the release of blue light from the screen. Blue light is a high-energy light emitted by a screen, and prolonged exposure may cause eye strain and dryness. By adjusting the color temperature of the screen, the eye protection mode reduces the intensity of blue light, thus giving us a more comfortable reading experience. But that doesn't mean we can use our phones unrestrainedly.

Staring at a screen for long periods of time, whether you turn on the eye protection mode or not, can put pressure on your eyes. The eye protection mode does not completely eliminate this stress, it only relieves it. In addition, the eye protection mode does not reduce the irritation of the eyes from the brightness of the screen. If the screen is too bright, it can still cause damage to the eyes.

What's more interesting is that eye care patterns may give us a psychological cue that our eyes are adequately protected, and thus ignore other, more important eye habits. Continuous use of electronic screens for long periods of time, incorrect sitting posture, and too close distance from screens can all be killers of eye health.

So, to really protect our eyes, we can't just rely on eye protection mode. More importantly, we need to develop good eye habits, such as taking regular breaks, maintaining proper screen distance, and good sitting posture. Only in this way can we truly provide a healthy, comfortable environment for the eyes.

In conclusion, the eye protection mode is a useful tool, but it does not completely solve eye health problems. The true way to protect our eyes lies in our daily eye habits and attitudes.
