The 35-year-old New Fourth Army giant committed suicide with a gun after paying the party dues, and his only son became a pillar of the country
At that time, the Father of the Nation called for bipartisan cooperation, and although our party is weak, it is destined to have great potential as an emerging force. We are like a fresh force integrated into the revolutionary ranks, injecting new vitality into the growth of the National Revolutionary Army.
However, during the victory of the Northern Expedition and the heyday of the revolution, Wang and Jiang betrayed their former comrades-in-arms, and many heroic martyrs lost their lives in this betrayal, and our party paid a heavy price. After the 10-year revolutionary war, when the national crisis came again, for the sake of the future and destiny of the country and the nation, we resolutely abandoned the past, reunited with the Kuomintang, and jointly faced the aggression of the Japanese invaders.
However, it is a pity that with the increase of our party's strength, Lao Chiang reborn his suspicion, and even led to the Southern Anhui Incident, in which many senior leaders of the New Fourth Army died, including today's protagonist, Yuan Guoping.
Yuan Guoping was born in 1906 and was the son of an ordinary peasant family in Shaodong County, Hunan. His father made a living by playing cotton, and in his spare time he worked as a farmer to support his family's livelihood and support his son's education.
Despite his young age, Yuan Guoping is well aware of his parents' good intentions and cherishes every opportunity to learn. With diligence and hard work, he was successfully admitted to a famous school in Shaoyang City, Xuncheng Higher Primary School. Despite his thin stature and modest clothing, he was often bullied by rich children because he was the youngest student in his class.
Although Yuan Guoping's grandfather used to be a boxer, although he knew some boxing and kick kung fu, he knew that he should follow his grandfather's teachings, not to be competitive, and to avoid causing trouble. However, there is a limit to human patience. Once, when he couldn't bear it, he couldn't bear it anymore and bravely fought back at the classmates who challenged him, so that the other party completely stopped. From then on, no one dared to bully him.
Yuan Guoping was a student with excellent martial arts and excellent academic performance, but he also had a strong sense of justice. Over time, he gradually became a highly respected and trusted figure among his classmates. Once, when a classmate was wronged because he was overly punished by a teacher, Yuan Guoping stood up and spoke fairly. However, it is a pity that the teacher did not listen to him and instead gave him a harsh reprimand. Yuan Guoping felt very angry, so he decided to show ** and resolutely went home.
At first, the teacher didn't pay much attention to the incident, but surprisingly, the next day all the students chose to go on strike. Faced with the unity of the students, the teacher had to bow his head, personally go to Yuan Guoping's home to apologize, and begged him to return to school to continue studying. This incident not only changed the teacher's perception of him, but also demonstrated his potential as a leader.
Subsequently, he was admitted to the Hunan Provincial No. 1 Normal School and actively participated in the patriotic groups in the school. He always spoke generously and showed positively, and some of his patriotic speeches deeply touched the people present. He gradually became a high-profile figure in the school, and was even elected by his classmates as a student representative of the first division and represented the school in the Hunan Student Federation Conference.
Yuan Guoping was gentle and elegant on the outside, but he was not a traditional and elegant literati, but chose the road of revolution. In 1925, he joined our party and firmly believed in communism. Subsequently, he was admitted to the fourth phase of the political department of the Whampoa Military Academy.
When the Northern Expedition broke out, he was incorporated into the propaganda team of the Left Wing Army, and with his first-class leadership background and professional training, he became an excellent political worker with both practice and theory. On his way north, he went deep among the masses of the people, propagated revolutionary ideas, and exposed the crimes of imperialism and reactionary warlords.
After the defeat of the Great Revolution, he participated in the uprisings in Nanchang and Guangzhou. In Guangzhou, he led a team to climb over the wall and enter the prison, cooperated with Zhou Wenyong's department, and rescued nearly 1,000 ** party members and revolutionary masses in less than an hour, and strengthened the power of the rebel army.
Unfortunately, after two failed uprisings, the remnants of the Canton uprising were forced to move to Huaxian. At the initiative of Yuan Guoping, they were reorganized into the Fourth Division of the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army, with Yuan Guoping as the party representative. Subsequently, he went to Lufeng, Pingjiang and other places, and although he experienced revolutionary setbacks again and again, he also accumulated valuable experience in struggle.
He grew rapidly and rose through the ranks. In 1930, when the Red Front Army was founded, Yuan Guoping was elected deputy director of the General Political Department of the Front Army and became one of the senior military cadres of the Red Army.
In addition to his outstanding leadership skills, Yuan Guoping was also an outstanding political propagandist. During the Revolutionary War, he devoted himself to propaganda work. For example, after the capture of Changsha by the Third Army of the Red Army, he organized the preparation and distribution of the Red Army **, and personally wrote many important editorials and articles. His writing is sharp, concise, and extremely inspiring and combative.
His ability to propagandize and agitate also played an important role during the Long March. For example, when the Red Army attacked Loushan Pass, he stood on a high platform to boost morale, inspire soldiers, and help the Red Army seize the lead and achieve victory.
**I also have a deep understanding and impression of Yuan Guoping. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the New Fourth Army was established, and the other three posts had been determined, leaving only the post of director of the Political Department. The Chairman did not hesitate to nominate Yuen Kwok-ping.
Sure enough, after Yuan Guoping took office, he made tremendous efforts for the construction and reorganization of the New Fourth Army. Noticing that the morale of his troops was low, he personally organized speeches to impassionedly encourage the soldiers. His speech was loud and loud, and every soldier was in high spirits and morale after listening to it.
In the Southern Anhui Incident, Yuan Guoping was seriously injured and could not continue to move forward. In order to reduce the burden on his comrades, he decided to end his life, handed over the few silver dollars in his arms to the deputy commander of the guard company, and died heroically at the age of 35. His sacrifice was a great loss, but it also showed the noble qualities of a good party member. Decades later, Yuan Guoping's son Yuan Zhenwei was awarded the rank of major general and became a pillar of the motherland, which is undoubtedly part of Yuan Guoping's contribution to the country.
