Tubo and Tang fought for a hundred years, who had the upper hand in the Anshi Rebellion? A watershed moment in history
Tang Fan, are they really just arguing?
Is Ping Liang enough to break a deep friendship? Or is it really irretrievable once a friendship is broken?
The two historic countries seem to have a linked destinies. The deep blood feud between the two countries is also regrettable. In particular, Princess Wencheng used her wisdom to weave a web of friendship on this bridge connecting the two countries, but over time, this web of friendship has disappeared.
So we can read this history of joys and sorrows, look for signs of rupture, and perhaps find opportunities to rebuild bridges.
Princess Wencheng, a cultural mission in transnational marriage.
In 645 AD, at the age of 16, he married Princess Wencheng, the princess of Turpan. This wise and wise princess is well aware of her cultural mission and strives to promote understanding and exchange between the two peoples.
On the wedding night, in the face of an unfamiliar husband and environment, the little princess suppressed her nervousness and anxiety and fell asleep. She dreamed that she was a pigeon floating in the mountains, building a bridge between two valleys for two children of different skin colors.
The next morning, the princess, dressed in a red dress, stood calmly beside Songtsen Gampo. She is well aware that she has a heavy responsibility to build cultural bridges. Because of the friendship between the two peoples, she will certainly dispel the doubts of foreigners, speak words of wisdom, and ensure peace in the country.
Songtsen Gampo, the blue leader of the United Plateau.
In 629 AD, Songtsen Gampo ascended the throne and became the 33rd Zampu of the Tibetan Dynasty. Songtsen Gampo united the indigenous tribes of the plateau in the midst of chaos. This one knows a thing"And is precious"The wise leaders of principle abolished the institution of inter-tribal marriage and encouraged intermarriage between different tribes, thus strengthening the integration of the highland tribes.
Songtsen Gampo traveled around the world, absorbing political wisdom from all over the world, and eventually formulated the Sixteen Laws, the first written legal code in Tibet, a reform that transformed Tibet from a nomadic tribe to a feudal dynasty. He also worked to popularize the Tibetan language and make it a bridge for the cultural identity of the Tibetan people.
After Songtsen Gampo was favored by Princess Wencheng, he became more aggressive. He sent scholars to translate Chinese texts, created a mixed Tibetan and Chinese script, and then established a Buddhist academy to teach the Dharma and fill people's hearts with the Buddha's mind. With the wise help of Princess Wencheng, Songtsen Gampo made Turpan prosperous.
Chikasong Detsen, ambition and arrogance are destined for internal friction.
Tri Song Detsen was born in 755 AD into a peasant family in a village in Mali. At the age of 20, he led a group of gamblers in a rebellion against the imperial court. At the age of 20, Trisong Detsen led a group of gamblers to rebel against the imperial court at a time when Turpan was in turmoil.
With great tactics and persuasion, Trikha Songtsen quickly rose to prominence and conquered the country, ascending to the throne of Zampu in 766. However, the exploits and exploits of the stubborn Chika Songtsen caused discontent among the important ministers. Three years later, he was assassinated, and a series of disputes broke out between the brothers.
In the midst of this civil strife, Qianjia Songdezan rose again. He ruthlessly cleared out his opponents and regained power. This time, his ambitions bordered on madness. He launched a violent campaign to open up important western territories.
The Pyeongchang Treaty was an insidious conspiracy to incite hatred.
The 200-year-old friendship between Tang and Tibet was destroyed with the rupture of the Treaty of Pingliang. In 786 CE, Tri Song Detsen pretended to negotiate in order to win the trust of the Tang Dynasty. He offered to start peace talks in Pingliang, but in fact he secretly ambushed the army and prepared to eliminate the Tang envoys.
Hong Wei believes that this is a great opportunity to resolve the war and restore friendship. When he arrived in Pingliang full of hope, he was suddenly attacked by a 30,000-strong Tibetan army, and more than 400 Tang envoys were killed. Hong Wei and his assistants were also killed in the clashes.
This sudden betrayal caused the Tang Dynasty to completely give up hope in Tibet. They have given up decades of hard work and no longer believe that there will be sincere friendship on this plateau. The grievances between the two countries turned iron gray in the blood rain of betrayal.
Princess Wencheng, the Bridge of Hope.
When the bad news of Pingliang** came, Princess Wencheng burst into tears. Over the years, she encouraged Songtsen Gampo and Tritsen day and night, hoping that they would stand the test of the reign of light. But in the end, Tri Songtsen lived up to her expectations and chose the brutal path of forcible expansion.
Big sister, can we still rebuild the bridge of friendship? "Orphan Songtsen Gampo asked with tears in his eyes. Princess Wencheng shook her head helplessly, she knew that the two countries had fallen apart because of a misunderstanding. However, the princess did not give up the last shred of hope, and as long as there was a cry for peace, she would continue to stand guard.
Over the years, Princess Wencheng has lived in seclusion overseas and no longer cares about state affairs. She waited for her understanding of the Dharma and peace of mind. Even when envoys from other countries visited, the princess just shook her head and said"I was waiting for a sincere greeting from my distant homeland. "
Princess Wencheng did not wait for the peace and joy of the Western Regions until it ended. She has completely become a forgotten bridge between the two countries. However, the spiritual symbol left by Princess Wencheng is still guiding future generations to move forward on the road of civilization exchange and communication.
The ancient Tianshan Mountains are still majestic, and the ancient city of Pingliang still exists, but the grievances between Tang and Fan have long been gone with the wind. Looking back at history, the root of the grievance is nothing more than a misunderstanding. If we have a big heart and wisdom, we may be able to mend the rift in friendship.
In 781 AD, Princess Wencheng died. Her hopes for reconciliation between the two countries have been frustrated, and her own cultivation has reached unprecedented heights. Songtsen Gampo was overwhelmed with grief when he heard the bad news, and the relics left by Princess Wencheng became her treasure.
History should not be divided into enemies and adversaries. Instead, we must tap into the wisdom of history, eliminate hatred, and build bridges of communication between people. Only in this way can future generations remember the misunderstandings of the past, and the sufferings and joys of Tang Fan can become a precious source of inspiration for future generations.
