How to cultivate a good habit of self directed eating

If your child doesn't eat well, it can really give you a headache. But if you want to develop your child's ability to feed independently, here are a few tips to follow.

First of all, start by adding complementary foods, and let your child sit in a chair to eat. If you always hold your child in your arms and feed him, then it will be difficult for him to develop the habit of sitting and eating in the future.

Secondly, children may make the floor and table full when they use their hands to eat, but this is the only way for them to learn to eat independently. So, don't stop them, but encourage them to keep trying.

Third, let the child concentrate on eating and don't interrupt them all the time. For example, don't wipe their hands and mouths for a while, as this will distract them. Also, try not to use a bowl to coax your child to eat, as this will cause them to develop bad eating habits.

Fourth, adjust the softness and hardness of food according to your child's chewing ability. If children are given too soft food for a long time, their gums and masseter muscles will not be exercised enough, which will affect their ability to swallow.

Fifth, make your child feel hungry. If your child is not eating well, take the meal away and do not give them any additional food. This will help them develop good eating habits.

Finally, the whole family needs to be united. Mothers should insist on the principle of self-feeding, and other members of the family should not feed their children because they are eating slowly. Only when the whole family follows these principles can children develop good eating habits. Do this, and you'll have a baby who can eat well.
