At the beginning of 2023, Li Zhikuan came to Muping from Zhenqi.
The moraine where he worked before was the only ethnic minority township in Baoxing, with a different style, beautiful scenery and a red resort, Jiajin Mountain. Before the big development of tourism, the locals raised yaks. They built the road up the mountain, and in the past it was only a day to walk up the mountain to look for yaks, but later it was only half an hour to ride a motorcycle. After the development of the scenic spot, the villagers under the mountain have a tourist meal, and there are 40,000 or 50,000 local transit tourists a day in the tourist season, and more than 10,000 tourists can stay overnight.
Tourism is surging, and the traditional villages that have been transformed do not have much time to react. "The tourist meal is delicious", but with it, is a chaotic market. Li Zhikuan recalled that during the tourist season, the homestay in the village had 50 yuan a day for one person to eat and stay, and the best homestay in the village also had thousands of nights. The villagers lack modern business philosophy, the level of tourism development and utilization is low, it is difficult to form a scale, and it is urgent to solve the dilemma of "hungry with a golden bowl".
In the past few years, he has traveled to every village group, talked heart-to-heart with the old branch secretary and local residents, and clarified the transformation and development idea of "ecological priority and tourism to get rich". Relying on the development of homestays based on the tourism resources of the moraine, the local "homestay alliance" has been established to standardize standards, decentralized operation, unified management and centralized marketing. By 2022, more than 240 homestays in the township will join the "Homestay Alliance", receiving more than 3 million tourists throughout the year, and the annual comprehensive tourism income will exceed 1 billion yuan.
At the same time, each village has also developed its own collective economy according to its own different characteristics. Muping is different from Moraine, as the seat of Baoxing County, Muping has a strong administrative function. Baoxing is the site of the world's first scientific discovery and type specimen of the giant panda. When he was a child, Li Zhikuan never thought that he would do his current job. At that time, their family planted Yunmu incense, a slow-growing and versatile Chinese medicinal material that required a lot of manpower, and whenever he came home from vacation, he would go to the field with his parents to take care of it.
In Li Zhikuan's life, Yunmuxiang has a special significance. This perennial plant that lives at higher altitudes can grow up to two meters after extensive accumulation, and can cure a variety of diseases with its roots in medicine.
Their village was a professional village of Chinese medicinal materials in Ya'an at that time, in Longdong Town, not far from his current place of work. The history of his family's cloud wood incense cultivation has been counted from his grandfather's generation for decades. The local families who wanted their children to go out at that time basically relied on Yunmuxiang. And his family planted cloud wood incense until 2008. Regarding the cessation of planting Yunmu incense, Li Wanqing said that the children have grown up and left home, and their health is not as good as before.
At that time, their family conditions were not good, and traditional agriculture was tired, so he had the idea of learning agriculture and thinking about coming back to engage in new planting and breeding in the future. When he was in college, he went to Yibin and really studied agriculture. What he often says is that when he goes out, he relies on growing cloud wood incense at home.
Regarding Li Zhikuan's return in the end, his father Li Wanqing said that the countryside was difficult at that time, and they hoped that their children would pass the exam. But when the child goes to college, they really hope that he will learn useful things that will change the face of his hometown.
It's good to develop outside, but it's too far away from home. In 2007, Li Zhikuan was admitted to the college student village official and returned to Longdong Town. The man who wanted to return to his hometown to farm returned to the land in another way.

In recent years, Baoxing has been greatly affected by natural disasters. Li Zhikuan's family was also affected by the disaster, so his family was very understanding of his work. Li Wanqing said that usually the father and son are in contact, and everyone can reunite during the New Year's holidays. Everyone was happy to see each other at home. Li Wanqing is no longer suitable for drinking due to his poor health, but sitting at the table, he will still chat and brag with his son.
For the family, Li Zhikuan has always felt indebted. Especially after the birth of his child, he would say that he was "all on the support of his family". Today, his child is three years old and in kindergarten. The teacher pulls the parents into a group and never informs him of anything. In November last year, he went to pick up the child for the first time, and even though he had the pick-up certificate, he still received the child after double verification by the kindergarten security guard and the teacher.
Now Li Zhikuan's hometown in Longdong has changed a lot, and the road to Shangyao Mountain has been built for dozens of kilometers. Although Li Wanqing no longer grows cloud wood incense, his family still planted some land, there are many forests in the local mountainous areas, and he has planted some trees and some woody medicinal materials, and his family also raises chickens and pigs. Coupled with the insurance that the children bought for the old couple, they now receive a fixed monthly payment, and their lives are relatively leisurely.
Knowing that their child won the honor of "the most beautiful civil servant", Li Wanqing said that they were proud to watch him grow from a doll to an excellent person. Li Zhikuan is also happy about this honor.
