Late at night on February 22, the temperature in Wuhan after freezing rain and ice and snow has dropped to minus 4 degrees, biting cold, more than 50 buses were parked in the bus station of Longyang Lake Peninsula Park on Longyang Lake North Road on Wuhan Bus No. 607, accompanied by 39-year-old charging worker Gong Xuan. Gong Xuan rode an electric car for 20 minutes in the ice and snow from his home to the station.
We started charging at 11 p.m. and got ready for work at 10:30 p.m. Gong Xuan came to the station in advance, put on a reflective vest, put on gloves and a hat, checked the flashlight, and then boiled a kettle of hot water, and the charging work of the night was about to begin.
There are 24 charging piles at the bus station of Longyang Lake Peninsula Park on Longyang Lake North Road, which will charge more than 50 buses on routes 607, 79 and 369. Before starting charging, Gong Xuan also helped the driver back to the station find a parking space and guided the driver to park safely.
At 22:30, Gong Xuan took a flashlight to inspect all charging piles and vehicles one by one.
At 23 o'clock, it began to rain freezing, and the temperature dropped to minus 4 degrees, Gong Xuan walked to the tail of a 607 bus, first to check whether the signal on the charging pile was normal, and then to check the vehicle charging interface. After everything is correct, Gong Xuan unplugged the charging gun from the charging pile, turned around and plugged it into the vehicle charging interface, then turned around to observe the charging pile display, pressed the charging, confirmed the start of charging, and walked to the next car.
In order to ensure that the charging is normal, Gong Xuan has to check whether the charging pile is operating normally every half an hour, and close the total power supply and doors and windows of the vehicle after charging, and inspect the vehicle in the station during the period. Gong Xuan walked about 30,000 steps in the station in one night. "In the second half of the morning, it is most likely to be sleepy, and in this cold season of ice and snow, when you are sleepy, you will inspect the station to ensure the safety of charging, and at the same time, blowing the wind will also help to refresh you. Gong Xuan said.
At 5 o'clock in the morning, Gong Xuan washed his face and sorted out the charging situation of the day, at this time, the drivers of the first trains of several lines also arrived at the station, and when he saw that the first train was safely dispatched, he was also ready to go home from work. Gong Xuan said frankly that bus charger is a hard job, but he feels very satisfied when he sees that the bus has enough power to serve passengers.
