The first stop is to go to Shenyuan and Chuqing Park.
Shen Yuan
Shen Garden is a garden in the park with unique Jiangnan garden culture characteristics in the Shanghai World Expo Cultural Park, covering a total area of 5 hectares, the park is divided into mountains and waters, houses and bridges, and the overall planning forms the spatial layout of Beishan, Nanshui, East Park and West Garden, and the building communities surrounded by mountains and rivers present the traditional garden style of Jiangnan.
Shen Garden focuses on the construction of "Drunken Red Reflection", "Coca Evening Crossing", "Yutang Spring Man", "Turquoise Spring Flow", "Quyun Tianxiang", "Smoke and Rain Penglai", "Autumn River Luozhao" and "Lotus Wind and Fish Music", and the garden is full of all kinds of antique buildings, allowing visitors to experience the charm of traditional architecture.
Shen Garden is an antique garden, the building in the garden cleverly borrows the water of the lotus pond and is built near the water, which makes the garden landscape and waterscape reflect each other, adding a point of softness. The Invitation Moon Hall by the lotus pond is separated from the turquoise spring. Standing in front of the hall, or watching the rockery waterfall, or gazing at the clear pool water, what you see in your eyes, far and near, each has its own rich appearance.
Another characteristic ancient style building Luxiang Pavilion is located in the peony garden, with peony as the feature, the platform is scattered, the commanding height is set up with a pavilion called Luxiang Pavilion, surrounded by a curved corridor, very classical painting.
Chuqing Park
Located at No. 2740 Chuanzhou Road, Kangqiao Town, Chuqing Park is a demonstration project for the construction of Shanghai's "14th Five-Year Plan" ring park belt, with a total area of about 604 hectares. The park is positioned to condense the culture and folk culture of Hengcha Water Town, and create a community park with a model of Jiangnan garden.
The park integrates the elements of the ancient town, integrates elements such as white walls and tiles, brick carvings and stone carvings into the design of construction, paving, and lamps, and displays the history of the ancient town in the form of historical relief walls and cultural sketches. Among them, the "Begonia Spring Return" on the island in the middle of the lake is a unique Jiangnan Natural Landscape Park, which uses the landscaping technique of "borrowing, releasing and barrier" to integrate the island with the park environment, showing the ancient and modern ancient town residential style.
During the Spring Festival, the entrance of the Begonia Spring Return is posted with the word "Fu", and the trees on both sides of the road are also decorated with beautiful lanterns, experiencing a warm and peaceful New Year's atmosphere.
In addition, there are two antique pavilions in the park, namely Lanyue Pavilion and Chuxi Pavilion, the former is the highest point of Haitang Chungui Island, and the latter is named after the ancient name of Hengcha area in the Yuan Dynasty, which means that the river is filled with flowing water, and the Ming Dynasty changed its name to Hengcha.
