In 2023, Zhangjiakou City signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Jointly Building the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Sports and Cultural Tourism Belt" with the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau, and signed cooperation agreements with five districts in Beijing, including Mentougou, Haidian and Yanqing.
