Yan Tengfang, 32, is the leader of this group of volunteers. Talking about participating in the "Warm Winter Action", he is proud, "This is an event that I must participate in every year, just like a ritual for the New Year." He graduated from Hunan Safety Technology Vocational College in 2022 with a major in emergency rescue, and he can't remember how many times he participated in the "Warm Winter Action". After 10 years in the industry, from society to school, and then from school to society, Yan Tengfang, born in the 90s, still adheres to the "original intention" of public service, national defense education, emergency rescue, epidemic prevention and control, and public welfare publicity.
In 2013, Yan Tengfang, who had been working for three years, happened to hear that the squad leader in the army had set up a blue sky rescue team for public welfare services in a neighboring province, which triggered a matter that he had been hiding in his heart.
In 2008, when Wenchuan** happened, I was in high school, and I was very touched by the fragility and insignificance of people in the face of natural disasters, so I wanted to learn some rescue skills to protect myself and my family. As he continued to learn emergency rescue skills, he also became more and more involved in social volunteering. Then he thought that instead of hanging out with friends in his spare time, he would do something meaningful. In this way, he and several like-minded people jointly initiated the establishment of the Blue Sky Rescue Team in Tianxin District, Changsha City.
The road to public welfare assistance is not a smooth road, personnel, expenditure, equipment, and time are all factors that Yan Tengfang has to consider, and many times, he has to face the dilemma of "a penny is difficult to defeat a hero". Some friends laughed at him for being "stupid", and he said frankly: The smile of strangers after being rescued and the heart-rending crying of the family members of the parties are the motivation for his perseverance.
Yan Tengfang spends one-third of her time every year on public service. In 2019, he took advantage of his professional advantages to carry out volunteer service projects for five prevention education, such as anti-trafficking, anti-drowning, and natural disaster prevention, and successively visited more than 100 primary and secondary schools, carried out thousands of lectures and drills, and covered millions of young people. During the epidemic prevention and control period, he carried 50 pounds of sanitizing equipment every day, climbed more than 1,000 stairs, fought for 47 days and more than 600 hours, and served more than 400 units and communities. In 2021, together with members of his Blue Sky Rescue Team, he assisted the Marine Police in carrying out rapid rescue in Changsha waters, rescuing more than 20 people who fell into the water within a year.
In his spare time, he regrets that he did not systematically learn emergency rescue knowledge, which makes him often feel a little "insufficient" in his work. In 2019, after careful consideration, he came to Hunan Safety Technology Vocational College to study. "After three years of study, the biggest gain is system thinking," he said, "I have learned to look at problems dynamically and holistically, which provides support and guarantee for me to further do a good job in emergency rescue." ”
Yan Tengfang used what he learned to help with public welfare. In the ordinary emergency situation, how to choose tactics, how to deploy rescue forces, how to refine the division of tasks, and how to grasp the timing ......He slowly got used to thinking holistically. In 2023, he will newly set up the Sunshine Emergency Rescue Team in Tianxin District, Changsha City, to carry out drone detection, emergency communication support, high-altitude rope rescue, mountain rescue, and ** building collapse rescue.
Along the way, Yan Tengfang has always paid silently and painted a "picture scroll of youth" with public service. He has successively obtained the qualifications of emergency rescue commander, building collapse and rope rescue technical rescuer, and won the title of Hunan Youth Post Expert. Keeping in mind the "volunteer service, dedication and love", he shouldered the responsibility on his shoulders and wrote the most beautiful annotation for youth.
