The fifth Borgward. The joint venture brand went bankrupt and delisted in November 2022.
Borgward, known as the fourth BBBA in the domestic market, although the slogan is quite loud, is actually a very stretched joint venture brand. High fuel consumption and many small problems in the later stage, as well as the instability of the three core parts are the slots of Borgward. Although Borgward used to have many models on sale, the total sales of all models fell off a cliff over time. As of 2022, the total annual sales of Borgward cars are only tens of thousands of units, and this kind of sales data is simply not enough to support Borgward's continued development.
