At present, 23 large-scale hydropower stations have been built on the Yalong River. When all these hydropower stations are connected to the grid for power generation, the capacity of the hydropower station will reach nearly 30 million kilowatts. This is a staggering figure, considering that the installed capacity of the Three Gorges Dam is only 22.5 million kilowatts. If converted according to this ratio, the Yalong River will contribute 150 billion kilowatt hours of hydropower supply every year, which is more than the power generation capacity of the Three Gorges Dam. 01
