01 The prosperous Tang Dynasty has been passed down through the ages. Tang poems and Song poems are well known to women and children, and Tang poems are the best annotations for the prosperous era of the Kaiyuan Dynasty. Now, the Traveler will take you through the charm of that history.
That's right, after a hundred years of development, during the Tang Xuanzong period, the Tang Dynasty entered a real prosperous era. Under his more than 40 years of rule, China has reached its peak in political, economic, military, cultural, artistic, and religious aspects.
02 The throne of Tang Dynasty Emperor Li Longji was not easy to come by. In the process of his ascension to the throne, he experienced the chaos of the late Wu Zetian era, the ambitious usurpation attempts of Empress Wei and Princess An Le, the power struggle of Princess Taiping, and the encirclement of the meritorious group.
Fortunately, Li Longji took the lead and took control of the overall situation before Princess Taiping rebelled against the hero group. He warned other heroes not to succeed by "stressing martial arts" and executing Guo Yuanzhen and Tang Shao.
This is not a "bird hiding all the bows", but a necessary measure taken by Li Longji in order to ensure the stability of the imperial power.
03 Li Longji is a discerning employer, he reviews candidates in a meticulous way, during the Wu Zetian period, he took a fancy to Yao Chong, who was extremely incorruptible, although Yao Chong's personality was a little eccentric, but he was outstanding in politics and upright and honest.
In order to be an official again, he made ten suggestions to Li Longji, and Li Longji understood his character, so he appointed him as prime minister. Yao Chong proposed three sets of strategies that successfully stabilized the situation in the imperial court.
The first move was to demote Zhang Shuo, Liu Youqiu and other heroes and Li Longji's clan brothers to foreign assassins, avoiding the possibility of a palace coup. The second move is to depose the foreign **, trial officials and school inspectors in the Wu Zetian period, and prohibit the emperor's relatives from interceding.
The third trick is to stipulate that the relatives of the emperor and the country are guilty of the same crime as the people, such as Li Longji's brother-in-law Sun Xin and Xue Wang Li Ye's uncle Wang Xiantong, who were both punished for breaking the law. In 716 AD, Yao Chong completed his mission and resigned as prime minister, and the rule of Kaiyuan continued to develop.
Since then, Li Longji's Qingping era has continued to develop. In 721 AD, Zhang Yue, a hero who had been demoted in the early stage, was recalled to Beijing to serve as the prime minister, and the kings who were exiled were also recalled to Beijing one after another, and the political situation was completely stabilized.
The return of Zhang Shuo heralded the arrival of a new era, in which scribes were given preferential treatment and the study of classics became a common practice. In addition to the emperor's relatives and civil and military officials, there are also surrounding nations and countries such as Turkic, Khitan, Japan, Silla, Daishi, and Nichinan all sent envoys to participate, creating an atmosphere in which all countries come to the court and the world is one family.
Tang Xuanzong Li Longji personally wrote "Ji Taishan Ming". Since then, the Tang Dynasty has achieved unprecedented prosperity and wealth, and China has a vast territory. In 726 AD, the population reached 41.41 million, and 30 years later, the population reached 70 million.
The economy and agriculture developed rapidly, and both the dignitaries and the common people were full of pride.
In 742 AD, a peerless genius came to Chang'an, and he was Li Bai. At that time, the poetry scene was full of flowers, and if you wanted to choose a person to represent the style of the Tang Dynasty, Li Bai was the best choice.
In his "Will Enter the Wine", "You don't see the water of the Yellow River coming up from the sky, rushing to the sea and never returning", full of boldness and ambition. "Life must be full of joy, don't make the gold bottle empty to the moon", he depicts the theme that life is short and should be happy in time with the momentum of a big river.
This poem is not long, but it is full of five tones, and the atmosphere is extraordinary. The poems are hearty and emotional, with both sadness and indignation, as well as composure and boldness. The whole poem is magnificent, and its strength can carry the tripod, showing Li Bai's extraordinary charm.
Tang Xuanzong Li Longji greatly admired this poem, and in 742 AD, Li Bai was called to Hanlin at the age of forty-two to worship.
Who knows Li Bai best? There is no doubt that that person is Du Fu. In his "Song of the Eight Immortals in Drinking", Du Fu vividly portrayed Li Bai's bold and handsome image, especially that sentence"Li Baidou has 100 wine poems, the restaurant in Chang'an City sleeps, the Son of Heaven can't get on the boat, and he claims to be a fairy in wine", but also vividly shows Li Bai's attitude of arrogant power and drunken poetry and wine.
In the end, this attitude made Li Bai choose to return to the mountain by himself. In addition to Du Fu, Wang Wei, Zhang Xuan, Han Gan, and Wu Daozi, the great calligraphers Zhang Xu, Huaisu, He Zhizhang, Li Yong, Li Yangbing, Yan Zhenqing and other literary giants have also stepped onto the stage of history, and used their talents and works to depict the glorious picture of the prosperous era of the Tang Dynasty.
The prosperity of the prosperous era of Kaiyuan was once the envy of people all over the world. However, the prosperous era was difficult to last long, and Li Longji indulged in his later years, which led to the accumulation of various contradictions, and finally broke out in the Anshi Rebellion, which made the prosperous era of Kaiyuan a deep nostalgia for the late Tang Dynasty.
Du Fu's poem "Reminiscences of the Past, Reminiscences of the Heyday of the New Century of the New Dynasty" allows us to feel the beauty of the Tang Dynasty and the heartache of war. The poem depicts the prosperity of the Kaiyuan Dynasty, with a population of 10,000 people in small cities, bumper agricultural harvests, abundant grain reserves, and warehouses full of ...... for storing rice grainsHowever, after the Anshi Rebellion, the countryside was barren, the price was expensive, a silk cloth had to be sold for tens of thousands of dollars, and the palace in Luoyang was burned down ......This history is painful and makes us cherish today's peace and prosperity even more.
