The University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Glasgow College was established on January 5, 2013 to implement the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China-University of Glasgow Cooperative Education Program (UESTC-UOGJEP).

In January 2013, in order to undertake the cooperative education project, the first secondary college established for cooperative education of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Glasgow United School (UOG-UESTC Joint School) was officially established. In February 2016, Glasgow College (UESTC), a cooperative institution between the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom, was approved by the Ministry of Education. Glasgow Union College was renamed Glasgow College, and the original co-operative education program was incorporated into the college. So far, the cooperative education project and the cooperative school running in parallel.

He has worked in well-known overseas universities for 16 years, published more than 100 articles, and published more than 40 articles in internationally renowned journals such as IEEE Transactions. Web of Science was cited 529 times (about 82% of which were from articles in which the candidate was the first author) and Scopus cited 764 times. The highest single article (first author) of Web of Science was cited 277 times (he cited 272 times).

He has edited and published one book (IGI Global, USA, 2011, 482 pages), and in 2012 will publish two more books on Communication and 3D (published by CRC and Springer, respectively). He has been granted one patent in the United States and one in Singapore (both are the first inventors). He is a member of the editorial boards of six SCI international academic journals (including three IEEE journals) and IEEE Distinguished Lecturer (2012-2014).
